Another rainy day in the Mid-West. I took my son down to FCBD to get his read on with the free comics. Krypton Comics had the usually cos-players, 501st Storm Trooper Legion, Mandalorians, Sandman creatures, Spiderman and so forth. As well as local independent comic artists. So today in the Big O (Omaha) I got to meet and greet Brandon Routh. We all know of him from Superman Returns the not so well received by most for its story plots and not so great script. So basically a story about how Lex Luthor wants to sell land made of Krypton crystals. Anyways Brandon seems to be down to earth guy. I hear him talking about his nine month year old as he greets others and how he loves his new born. But the surprise was I got to meet his parents as well. His mother and father both nice parents. When asked if they are proud how he turned out. His mother stated she was proud of the nice person he became. She further stated that when he went to Iowa University he was studying to be a writer in his first year. But growing up he had aspirations to a priest, which was very interesting since that is way on the other end of the spectrum.

People will think of Christopher Reeve & Henry Cavill as Superman & Brandon will be the "George Lazenby" (James Bond) of the Superman actors.

Meaning,he had his one shot & it didn't work out. Sorry Mr. Routh.

Routh has a sexy looking wife so if he never gets another big role he can still go home to her.

Thats a good consolation I think...Play a fictional superhero or nail a real hot woman?

Wait,I think Henry Cavill will still come out on top..he's now Superman & will probably nail many,many hot women before he's through. Zing!

@Maia87

Routh only played Superman once as Lazenby only played Bond once..thus the connection & comparison..ONE & DONE.
Kirk Alyn & Gerard Christopher played them in a series of films/tv shows.

Chris Reeve & Henry Cavill set the standard for then & now..MOS will deliver the goods!

He may not be the big movie star he might've thought he'd be, but he's doing alright in terms of making money. He has a steady job in appearances in Chuck and is in other shows at the same time.
