The new Captain America Civil War dropped earlier today and left all Marvel fan-boys weeping (myself included). It came as a huge suprise that it was dropped so soon as it was supposed to drop with the release of Star Wars The Force Awakens on December 18th. Anyway, there was so much in this trailer that we should be exited about. Here are a few.
More of the feels:
The trailer gives a great sense that this movie is alot more emotional that any other MCU movie to date. The bromance between Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes is sure to tug at the heart strings. But what im most interseted in is the emotional conflct between the films main protagonist and antagonist, Cap and Stark.
The line given at the end of the trailer ('He's my friend' 'So was I') tells the audience that is ain't your average action-fest comic book movie, its got heart and soul.
Conflcit of Interest:
Well, this one was obvious (its called Civil WAR). But this movies going to show Heroes vs Heroes. Friends turned enemies. This makes me wonder how this movies going to play out onto different MCU films. They'll obviously resolve the issues toward the end but the relationships between the opposing characters, like Rogers and Stark, will never be the same again (probably, i dunno).
Very Captain America Centric:
AND GOOD. It is, after all, a CAPTAIN AMERICA MOVIE and the trailer is definatly showing this. This was something alot of fans were worried about with this film (that the focas of the film would be more on Iron Man or whoever else). It also is a great sequel to The Winter Soilder as to carries along many of the same themes and tones.
Anyway. That'll do it.
Joe :)
