Is still hard for me to like her outfit or the "lesbian" haircut they gave her. Man, I miss Ms. Marvel...

@Spidey

The outfit is for movie translation, so I can kind of understand. I completely agree about the hair, though.

haha @gusto's van has nothing but miley cd's and posters all over it. I wish they kept the blue suit it looked cooler they could have just updated like psylocke's. That cover of the zombie carol attacking rogue is still one of the best.

"It's the way things are now."
"Get used to it."
"What a whiner. Costumes change all the time – why is this one bad?"
"You know why they're doing that, don't you?"
"What do think, they're gonna make four-color costumes?"

blah, blah, blah.

This is no different than when the comics changed Captain America's cowl to a SHIELD-issued-Super-Safety-Protective-Helmet-with-Matching-Super-Guard-Chin-Strap to issue in the movie look.

"Look, I'm just REALLY proud that we didn't compromise on the look of Carol Danvers. Her uniform is taken directly from the comics. The fans should be really happy!"

I've said from the very beginning, make the costumes onscreen look anyway you want. But leave the comic book changes to the whim's of the comic book people.

They don't HAVE to match. You didn't see comic book Batman unable to turn his head because of a bad costume design Keaton wore, did you? And there's no reason our comic book Carol Danvers needs to look as "realistic" as cinema Carol. You can do thing's in comics you can't do in the "realistic" movies. That uniform is (and has been), a great example of something that WOULD be tossed as an early, unused, non-exciting, attempt and a costume change.
NO! She ABSOLUTELY does NOT need to show up wearing her first, gratuitously skimpy stripper costume. Hawkeye does not need to be dressed in neon purple. Do whatever you want in front of the pandering camera, but let the comic book artist do their thing.

Do people forget that this is based on Mar-Vell's suit? It's just that the colours are reversed (for the best IMO, this looks way better than Mar-Vell's original suit).

@KrazyForKomix
Carol has been wearing this suit since 2011, which was before Avengers and LONG before they even thought of making a Captain Marvel movie. And honestly, this change has been a long time coming, the old suit WAS outdated and was just a relic of a time where women in comics were sexualised way more than they should've been. Comics just aren't that way anymore.
