As for the specific story of the Guardians return in issue #6, Marvel SVP of Publishing Tom Brevoort said It's the first step in Marvel "doing more stuff with the cosmic characters. Certainly we've been talking about it and hinting at it for a while now, and we're getting to the point where you'll begin to see more evidence of that in the books and elsewhere. There's going to be a concerted effort to making a bigger splash with characters like the Guardians, Thanos and Nova than we've done in the past. That's an area of the Marvel Universe that we're going to have to put some emphasis behind."

It's doing what we all want the movies to do. I'm loving this series, so far. Okay, it ain't exactly The Ultimates, but it does give props to Hitch and even Whedon, in the book. The creative team that put Marvel back on the map doing a series that brings 616 in line with the Cinematic Universe and acts as a testing ground for where things might go with Marvel Studios? This is exactly the kind of book we want.

IIf they put a raccoon as a superhero in a movie that ties in with the mcu...it will destroy everything theyve done

If they do Rocket Raccoon in a movie the way they did him in EMH he will be a smash, he will be more popular than Yoda or any of them silly characters in Lord of the rings. with Disney behind it it will do good they are experts at talking animal characters, I think he would be a favorite like the HULK.

@Gaston totally agree. As much as I am looking forward in the Guardians of the Galaxy returning, it just doesn't feel the same with Star-Lord, but i will check this issue out!

Pretty sure that is Star Lord in the middle. Looks like one of his original costumes. Plus he has his Element Gun.
