COMICS: HydraCap's Fate Revealed In SECRET EMPIRE: OMEGA #1 Preview

Steve Rogers returned to defeat HydraCap in Secret Empire #10 but what's going to become of the villain? Well, this first look at Secret Empire: Omega #1 sheds some light on what's next for him...

In Secret Empire #10, the original Steve Rogers was brought back via the Cosmic Cube. However, the Captain America loyal to Hydra and imposing his will over the world was technically the real deal too as his memories were changed by the Red Skull and Kobik so he was left believing that he'd always been part of the villainous organisation. As a result, there are now two Caps in the Marvel Universe!

In this first look at epilogue story Secret Empire: Omega #1, we see the heroic Steve visiting HydraCap in the extremely secure facility he's being kept in and that promises to make for a tense exchange!

Many fans have wondered if the two would somehow be merged but it appears as if the plan is to have HydraCap remain part of the Marvel Universe  - possibly as Captain Hydra - so he can one day return to plague Steve and the rest of The Avengers. If that is the case, it seems there will be no simple fix to this story and that we can forget about a Cosmic Cube being used to bring back
HydraCap's victims!

Not interested. That final battle was such a huge anticlimactic letdown.

Basically the true Captain America is still HydraCap, meaning evil, and a figment of imagination (of Kobik) is the brand new Captain America?

K.

I hope Waid's run isn't supposed to redeem this Cap cause he didn do nuffin and it would not make any sense!

I hope they don't pull some Alien:Covanent BS and play some "which Cap" game. Have someone wring Hydra Cap's neck and close the door on this crap.

This is by far the worst of all the sjw liberal story lines they could have done. It seems they got the memo at the bank deposit line with declining sales and walked back the ending. This is the reason I no longer spend my money on Marvel comics any longer. This was the shining light, the untarnished and the beating heart of being a Patriotic American and you just throw it away because you think white males are a problem. Not much you can do now on the comic book front to get my money back. It would help if Marvel issued an apology both written and televised to its ling time readers. Own up to the mistake and move on dont sweep it under the rug. You (and I mean Marvel) have to acknowledge this mistake so we know you will not do it again. Fix yourself Marvel and your fans will return.

@RavenMoon - you keep using the word SJW, I don't think that word means what you think it means. Especially regarding THIS story Muchacho.

Cap has needed a shakeup In His rogues gallery, the Grand Director was good, but didn't have same the buildup as Hydra Cap. Pretty Sure He and Zemo are gonna rebuild the Masters of Evil.

Did "Good guy" Cap take out a guy's eyeball to get past the security scanner? Because that totally looks like the thing Loki used to take out a guy's eyeball in "The Avengers".

@Chewtoy -

Idk if Kobik's Cap is capable of something like that... granted he's breaking into the prison.

The "eye" used seems electronic. I'm sure it's just a device that scans a retinal i.d.; a harmless tactic.
