"Welcome to the X-Men, hope you survive the experience!"

While there are several X-Men books currently being published by Marvel, the iconic Uncanny X-Men title has been dormant for a little over a year. But as we learned back at SDCC, the popular title will be making a comeback this November, and it looks like the ongoing series will kick things off with bang.

In an official announcement from Marvel, it was revealed that a writing trio - consisting of Ed Brisson, Kelly Thompson and Matthew Rosenberg - would be teaming up with an impressive collection of artists comprised of Mahmud Asrar, R.B. Silva, Yildiray Cinar and Pere Perez to relaunch Uncanny X-Men.

However, the series won't begin like your average comic book, for the title will launch with an epic storyline titled Disassembled. And like the similarly named Avengers: Disassembled, not every hero is expected to survive the experience, as Marvel said the book's future "depends on who is left standing."

This story arc, which is described as an "epic tale of mystery and tragic disappearance," will consist of 10 parts, and each installment will release on a weekly, rather than monthly, basis.

The X-Men line of comics is almost as ridiculous as the movie line.

X-Men > Avengers

Also, I thought Wolverine was back? I haven’t been keeping up with the comics in a while...

@LNBfett12 - So you are pulling things up from your ass? Avengers is much better than X-Men at this moment, but they both suck stil. He is not back yet, there is hunt for Wolverine going on and etc. HE comes back in next month or the next after that.

Hey, Marvel:

Mistreating your mutants again. It's not like they saved your company's ass in the 90s.

Remember back in the days when we only had 1 or 2 X-men comic runs(X-men and Uncanny X-men)?

I miss those days and things were less confusing too
