Marvel made a big marketing push last year for Riri Williams as she stepped into the Iron Man suit following Civil War II. But with her creator moving on to the rival publisher, what happens now?

Last Summer, Marvel made headlines with the announcement that Tony Stark would be vacating his Iron Man suit and a 15-year-old, M.I.T. graduate student named Riri Williams would be replacing him.  Codenamed Ironheart, the character debuted in the pages of Invincible Iron Man and was and instant sellout, garnering covering on Good Morning America, TIME Magazine and Entertainment Weekly.  A year later, her creator, Brian Michael Bendis is vacating his long-tenure at Marvel for a fresh start at DC Comics.  So what happens to Riri Williams now?  In his absence, is it possible for Riri to still become the next Miles Morales or Jessica Jones or will she fall into obscurity like Butterfly?

Here's what Benis has to say on the matter.

Do you think Riri Williams will still receive the same "push" now that Bendis is moving on to DC? Let us know in the usual space below.

Maybe now they will get rid of this piece of garbage and bring the real Iron-Man back.

I honestly don't care. She's been a pretty weak character so far. The only interesting part was her little time travel stunt. Personally, I think she should move along and find her own identity instead of riding Tony's coat tails.

The bigger question will be who is going to take the reins on Miles Morales.

In all seriousness though, maybe have her become her own character instead of a nonsense hand-me-down. Shouldn't be to difficult for the self-proclaimed House of Ideas....

I wish and hope DC will put him in the backroom, because as of right now DC has corrected their mistake with the New 52 and Rebirth made lots of characters great again. So with him coming on I'm expecting him to take a big PC, SJW stance and I for one don't want that, instead I fun comics to read.

As much as I hate the character (lack of good writing) I will admit she had potential, not as the new Iron man, but as someone who could do better on her own. But nope, she had to paint a red and gold target on her back. So here’s hoping the Living Lazer melts her into a puddle or Thanos breaks her in half.

"people are making very good choices," translation: Marvel still plans to pander to SJW's and the current snowflake generation we live in. Because that makes so much more sense then bringing back a great and established character.

I have not picked up a Marvel superhero comic in years, and if this is any indication, I still won't for quite a while!
