Believe it or not, it was way back in 2012 that Marvel launched Spider-Men, a five-part crossover series which featured the first meeting between Peter Parker from the 616 Universe and Miles Morales from the Ultimate Universe. Since then, the events of Secret Wars has brought them into the same world, but the upcoming sequel will finally reveal what Peter found when he searched for his universe's Miles Morales in a story which also reunites writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli this July.

Not many other details have been revealed thus far, but Bendis did have this to say in an interview with Nerdist about the dynamic between Peter and Miles now they're getting to know each other.

"Miles and Peter are dealing with each other more often," the writer explains. "The legacy that Peter started as Spider-Man is in his face a little bit more. When [Peter] started being Spider-Man, he didn’t have the idea that other people would pick up the mantle. This premise, this theme, gets analyzed from different perspectives, and Miles and Peter are at the center of that."

a first look at Spider-Men below and let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

First one was really good, but this sort of loses its magic a bit as they're now in the same universe which is what made those interactions so memorable. I'll give it a try.

@AbidNaga - Yeah, one of the many stories that Secret Wars has screwed over

Peter looks like a teen and Miles looks a grown man. Good work Sara.

So far, some have made good points (well, all 'cept Rey of course).
HOWEVER, the bombshell final page of Spider-Men (the first) was a HUGE tease. My kid has brought it up many times, in the hopes that Marvel hasn't forgotten that thread.
Personally I'd be impressed if they let it be a tantalizing unknown for ten years or so.
I know.
That would never happen theses days. Every writer has the dream of being THAT guy who delves into Marvel's "history" (no matter how recent) to put together some "previously unknown connection/solution" ala John Byrne's three skull-cows stories.

Now this is more like it! Good plot, innovative story-telling, and great characterisation/ development. This is what Bendis is known for and what has been largely missing from Miles's comics of late. Thank goodness! Bets part, NO DARN EVENT TIE-INS :D

Been waiting for this! I hope we get more of them together. I want their relationship to be like Dick Grayson and Tim Drake, brotherly and full of mutual respect.

Been waiting for this! Love the Peter & Miles team ups. But I would love for Miles to step out and get his own name!

Ah make sense. There's an actual counterpart to Miles in this 616 universe. The Miles we know is actually the Ultimate Miles brought into 616, and we have yet to discover the actual 616 Miles. Same as how Nate Grey is the AoA version of 616's
Nate Summers. We'll see if it's any good. 616 Miles is probably gonna be the
"Superior Goblin" or some weird villain.

By the looks of this Miles is getting more popular and that's good
