Marvel Comics Promises To Reveal Kingpin's Masterplan In GIANT-SIZE SPIDER-MAN: KING'S RANSOM #1 This May

Wilson Fisk has been plotting something for a while now as New York City's Mayor, but his masterplan for the Marvel Universe will finally be revealed in the pages of Giant-Size Spider-Man: King's Ransom...

Wilson Fisk is the current Mayor of New York City, and that's once again led to the Kingpin of Crime clashing with the spectacular Spider-Man, In next month's Amazing Spider-Man #61, the "King's Ransom" storylines kicks off with an arc so momentous, it will conclude in special, giant-sized finale issue in May.

That promises to finally pull the curtain back on whatever Fisk has planned, though it looks a lot like the villain is once again intent on reuniting with his beloved Vanessa.

"If you thought 2020 held some huge Spidey surprises (the return of the Green Goblin, the reveal of Kindred as Harry Osborn, the Sin-Eater’s reign of terror), you ain’t seen nothing yet," Editor Nick Lowe teases. "Nick Spencer is telling the biggest stories in Amazing Spider-Man history, and they can’t fit in a normal comic, so we’re Giant-Sizing, starting with the cacophonous climax of 'King’s Ransom!'"

Marvel Comics promises that we'll find out Kingpin’s goal and how it violates all natural law. We'll also learn more about the years’ old enmity between Tombstone and Robbie Robertson, and discover what’s next for Spidey's fan-favourite frenemy, Boomerang. There's all that and more as Spider-Man’s whole status quo is turned upside down in one explosive showdown.

Giant-Size Amazing Spider-Man: King's Ransom #1 comes our way from writer Nick Spencer and artist Rogê Antônio (X-Men Red) this May, and Mark Bagley's cover can be seen below:

I've been enjoying Spencer's run so far so I'm sure that this'll be just as good as well.

I'm a little disappointed Kindred turned out to be Harry instead of the psychic mutant that kidnapped Mary Jane and then committed suicide just for the deepest lore reference. Harry was just too obvious for me. Overall pretty average for a big two event.

But yeah, probably Vanessa.

Nick Spencer's shit is always written soooooooo well. Secret Empire was one of the best stories I've read in along time. Divisive, but very good.

This run has sucked ass. Stringing along the constant promise of answers but just giving countless more pointless question and arcs just to fill out, and now instead of giving us answers that they constantly teased they would in previous issues, they decide to put a larger price tag on getting them. Just dissapointing

I'm more interested what chip zdarsky has in store for the kingpin in the pages of Daredevil, his recent struggle with the stromwyns has been captivating and they're one of the most untouchables villains rooted in real life

@Dannywest - Daredevil is probably the best comic book out of the big two.

Daredevil is probably the only character Marvel don't f*ck up Miller,Bendis, Brubaker,Zdarsky just to name a few.
