Marvel Comics Reveals ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN's New Sinister Six In Preview Of September's ULTIMATE Issues

Marvel's new Ultimate line of comics continues to enthral readers with a bold take on the Marvel Universe, and more huge developments are coming our way this September.

Created by Jonathan Hickman and Bryan Hitch in last year's Ultimate Invasion, the new Ultimate Universe was designed by the Maker to be a world without superheroes. However, the Maker is no longer in control, and now, across four titles - Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate Black Panther, Ultimate X-Men, and Ultimates - new versions of iconic Marvel characters are reclaiming their destiny.

It's a storytelling foundation exploding with endless possibilities, and right now, you can get a sneak peek at the excitement to come with cover reveals and synopses for Ultimate Universe issues hitting stands in September.

That includes the new Sinister Six: in this reality, the group is comprised of The Kingpin, Black Cat, Kraven the Hunter, Mole Man, Mister Negative, and Mysterio.

It also sounds like we'll finally learn what the deal is with Reed Richards/Doom and how The Maker's machinations stopped the Fantastic Four from ever assembling...

@mountainman - this Spiderman and Black panther run has been really good. I love it when there are somewhat big departures from the original material because it gives room for something new. This new ultimate line has gotten me invested in comics again.

I tried that X-men and I couldn't even make sense of it between the story and art. The Spidey book is great. Ultimates didn't grab me.

This has to be the most random selection. Especially mole man.

@MisterKite - He got a better agent?

@LSHF - I hate that I'm just now seeing this, but that is a fantastic response

@MisterKite - Thank you. I get a kick out of helping people smile (inside and/or outside).

If it wasn't his agent, though, I'd go with whom he knows (social connections) or whom he slept with (physical connections).

I guess this Black Cat is Walter Hardy Felicia's Father.

@GM1988 - 100%. At first glance- I thought it was the Tarantula!!! He needs more love.

Huh. I didn't even recognize that as Mole Man till you mentioned it. I should have glommed on to the glasses.

I get the Khonshu aspect but I'm not really feeling Moon Knight's mask. Maybe it will grow on me. I was always a fan of how Bill Sienkiewicz drew him where his face was shadowy and you really only saw his eyes under his hood.

No matter how sometimes weird or bad they occasionally get, after 60 years I still really dig kicking back to heavy metal & tequila while I read my comics.

There you go: A female character replaced by a male character.

He's an existing character (like Shalla Bal) who was never the Black Cat before, only a cat burglar.
GM1988
GM1988 - 6/15/2024, 12:04 PM
@ObserverIO - It's Walter Hardy Felicia's Father who in the comics was a Cat Burglar named The Cat. Felicia named herself Black Cat after him.
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 6/15/2024, 12:25 PM
@GM1988 - Yeah but he was never The Black Cat.

Just like Shalla Bal was Norrin Rads lover and became a herald of Galactus too, but was never Silver Surfer.

But I don't hear anyone complaining about Walter Hardy's Black Cat like they are about Shalla Bal's Silver Surfer.
