Some things I hope we see in the MCU

We just got to watch a movie about The Avengers vs Ultron. A movie that includes, Scarlett Witch, Quicksilver, The Vision, and the Avengers. Age of Ultron was exactly what I wanted it to be.

And, I want more....

Age of Ultron was everything I wanted it to be.

There’s some things that I want to see in the MCU eventually though….

1.  Hank Pym

I’m fine with Pym not creating Ultron in the MCU.  His character would have been really rushed and Stark creating Ultron in the MCU makes perfect sense.

With that said, I still want to see Stark, Banner, and Pym together on screen.  I’m hoping we get to see this in Civil War, but since Douglas is 71 years old, I’m not sure this will happen.  I’m actually afraid that they might kill off Pym in Ant-Man, which will suck, because Hank Pym is awesome in the comics.

2.  Surtur

I want an amazing Thor movie and we deserve to get one with Ragnarok.

Adding Surtur to Ragnarok would definitely raise the stakes.

3.  Thanos, Nebula and Lady Death

I want to see Nebula all messed up like she is in the Infinity Gauntlet arc.  Adding Lady Death to Infinity Wars would be insane.  Her relationship to Thanos in the comics is crucial to his character and seeing this on screen would be awesome.  Thanos is in love with Death.

Lastly, Thanos needs to be powerful and a badass.  I hope Marvel has listened to the fans and is ready to show everyone why Thanos is….  Thanos.  They need to show why he is the most powerful being in the universe.  I’m sure that I’m not the first person that thought of Thanos ripping the Visions head off to get the mind stone.

Feige also said that there are 2 infinity gauntlets and I have to watch the mid-credits scene again, but I think Thanos may already have all of the stones, so maybe there are duplicates of each stone….

4.  Mephisto

I really like the dynamic between Mephisto and Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet arc.  It makes sense too, if you have possession of the Infinity Gauntlet and you have unlimited power, there are going to be untrustworthy people like Mephisto around trying to manipulate you and take your power.  Also, I think Mephisto would be a really cool character to see on screen.

5.  Quicksilver

I want Quicksilver to come back because he was one of the major highlights for me in AOU.  I know, I know, but nobody stays dead in the MCU.  I don’t care, Quicksilver was awesome and we were just getting to know him.  I want to see him in The Inhumans with Crystal.

#SaveQuicksilver

6.  Reed Richards, The Fantastic 4, Galactus, Doctor Doom and The Silver Surfer

I want the rights to return or for Fox to share the rights with Marvel.  I want them to cast a really good actor as Reed Richards and then I want them to show the world why Reed is the smartest man in the Marvel Universe.

The possibilities of The Fantastic 4, Galactus, Dr Doom and Silver Surfer in the MCU are endless.  If anything, I hope Fox follows through with a Fantastic 4 trilogy and then shares the rights with Marvel.  By this time, it could be phase 4 and Marvel will be ready to introduce Marvel’s first family. Who knows, maybe Spider-Man could join them too!!

7.  Adam Warlock

Because, Adam Warlock.  Warlock is the yin to Thanos’ yang.  Warlock needs to be utilized in the MCU and the Infinity Wars.

8.  Spider-Man

We are getting Spider-Man!!!!  Haha, I’m still happy about this.

Of course, these lists are never ending and I could ramble on forever, but yeah, that’s it for now.  Thanks for reading, let me know if you agree and what you want to see in the comments

True, good call. I hope so man. Quicksilver was just getting started, so much potential for that character in the MCU.

Have no real desire to see Hank Pym doing too much, and frankly I would be perfectlt fine with him getting killed of in Ant-Man. I just frankly don't care for the comic character, but maybe he'll be changed enough for the movie that I would change my mind. If Ant-Man ends up being a good movie, I would want to see Scott again. Of all the possible characters that might come out of that movie though, Wasp is the one I would be most interested in seeing.

Obviously Thanos is coming, and while he does need to be a huge threat, he shouldn't end up so overpowered that the Avengers have no chance against him. The Infinity Gauntlet will be hard enough to beat as it is. (And btw, the gauntlet he put on in the mid-credits scene did NOT have any stones in it that I could see, just empty sockets.) As for Lady Death, I don't see how that could work in a movie. They do attempt to make these movies at least somewhat realistic, so having "Death" be an actual person would seem to me to go beyond that realism (plus, frankly, the idea that someone would be in love with this "Death" woman just seems silly to me.) I don't think it's needed anyway. Thanos can easily love the idea of causing death without death being a person. At most, maybe you could have "Lady Death" be some kind of powerful being (since Thanos is a Titan, maybe she could be too) who Thanos falls in love with. She loves watching (and causing)death and destruction so much that she has taken to calling herself "Lady Death," so Thanos tries to woo her by destroying everything he can. But I would not want Marvel to actually create a character who is literally "Death."

Mephisto-don't care one way or the other.

Quicksilver-while I did really like the character (much more than the one in X-Men, btw), I think it's better for him to stay dead. For one thing, Marvel has to let at least one death stick at some point of fans, general audiences in particular, are going to rightfully criticize them for repeating themselves over and over. Plus, while I liked him, I loved Scarlet Witch, and I think his death will make her a more interesting character down the road. And it makes her more important, since she is now Scarlet Witch instead of just one of the twins.

Fantastic Four-while I used to absolutely love them, and would like to see a really awesome F4 movie someday (and I don't think what is coming is gonna be it), I don't think they're necessarily needed in the MCU either right now or anytime soon. Especially not if it would be the same F4 that is about to be in a movie. The MCU already has enough scientists, it doesn't need Richards too. The Thing is too much like the Hulk. Really, the only ones that would bring something truly unique to the table would be the Storms. But, Scarlet Witch demonstrated the ability to project something similar to a force field in AoU (at one point she used her powers to block either a bullet or a blast from Ultron-can't remember exactly). I can live with them being in their own universe, as long as they're done correctly. Frankly, I would be fine with never seeing them again too. As for the others, Dr. Doom is kind of overrated imo, and the comic Galactus is just plain silly. A being so large that he can literally swallow planets? That might work in comics, but I don't see it working on film. And Marvel has plenty of villains to work with. As for Silver Surfer-no. Just no. May be the most overrated comic character ever.

Adam Warlock-don't care.

Spiderman-we're getting him, but frankly I still wish Marvel would just put him on the shelf until Phase 4. I'm burnt out on him, and I think general audiences are too. I really hope Marvel doesn't give him much more than a cameo in Civil War, and I hope they don't use him too much in Infinity War.

Now, there are others I do want. First, much more Scarlet Witch. She has the potential to be the most powerful of all the Avengers. Plus, Elizabeth Olsen made her even sexier than Black Widow. And while we're on it, more Black Widow too, maybe including a solo movie someday. (One thing I hope they stay away from is the Vision/Scarlet Witch romance from the comics. She should get a human, not an android.)

Spiderwoman-I just think she has interesting powers and more females are needed. And she's not really related to Spiderman.

Quake and Mockingbird-as I said, we need more females, and these two would fit into Civil War pretty easily. It would be great to see Mockingbird on the opposite side of Black Widow and have the two of them in an epic showdown. Plus, you could see the tension between her and Hawkeye. And Quake (aka Daisy Johnson aka Skye) would bring the Inhumans into Civil War, which would be a decent theatrical introduction for them before their own movie, for all those who don't watch AoS. Quake should definitely appear in the Inhumans movie too, even if she isn't a major character.

And I do think Coulson should eventually be in a movie again, probably Civil War. The Avengers should eventually find out about the Tahiti program and that Fury planned to try to bring them back to life if one of them died. Their various reactions would be interesting.

@Lhornbk

Cool, nice ideas too.

I don't think we need a solo Black Widow movie though, I really like her character in the MCU, but a solo Black Widow movie just doesn't compare to potential stories that can be told for other characters. Plus, we are getting a Captain Marvel movie, we will definitely have some very powerful and strong female characters in the MCU. Totally agree about Scarlett Witch, she was awesome in AOU, and I know the part your talking about with the force field.

My argument for Reed was more for the fact that Stark/RDJ cannot do this forever, and Reed would be a perfect candidate to take his place in the MCU.

Also, the Fantastic 4 (NOT The Recent/Upcoming Foxtastic Version) would fit perfectly in the MCU. The Thing is a lot different than the Hulk and The Thing vs Hulk would be fun to see on the big screen. It would also give Hulk someone to play off.... Marvel could also make the Thing look a lot better. Johnny Storm would fit right in, in the MCU, and Storm and Spider-Man would have great chemistry. And, The Invisible Woman would be perfect, she's more than just her powers, the Fantastic 4 would bring that family element to the MCU, and they could be mentors to other characters. And, Doctor Doom, Galactus and The Silver Surfer, could play a really cool part in the MCU.

Granted all of this ^ wouldn't happen until phase 4 or maybe even 5....

A lot of characters have died and stayed dead in the MCU, personally, I don't think Quicksilver should be one of them. There is so much potential for that character especially in the Inhumans.

Yes and Yes to Quake and Mockingbird, and Quake is the perfect way to connect The Inhumans to Earth, actually there are so many ways to connect Inhumans because they are such a big part of AOS.

I don't want Coulson to come back, I actually hope Coulson dies in AOS soon, and that the series will continue to move forward. There's really no reason for Coulson to come back in the movies. After he's dead, maybe they could mention him, but physically, he doesn't need to return.

Awesome ideas though, and I also hope we see Kang too, and I think it would be cool to see Task Master make an appearance....

@dethpillow

Yes!! Totally.

And, I really like where your going with Pym. I can't wait to see where Ant-Man takes him. In a sense, it could really be a Marvel H.G. Wells "Time Machine" type story. And, that would be an awesome way to bring young Pym into the future. I really can't wait to see how they handle Pym.

Thanos' Black Order would definitely fit, I really want to see that now.

And, I agree with everything your saying about Fantastic 4, they would fit perfectly in the MCU and they would really tie everything together.

Runaways :)

And, seeing Fraction/Hawkeye in the movies would rock. I would really like to see that, that direction for Hawkeye is intense but I would love to see that, especially if we get Fantastic 4, because it could show even more how F4 could tie everything together

So much potential

@dethpillow

True, I see what your saying, that would turn ugly quick for Hawkeye.

And, good call bringing up Punisher. If anyone is supposed to carry that weight, of his family being murdered, it's Frank Castle. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a full blown Castle origin story, with flashbacks to the Born arc.

A Punisher/Daredevil movie. It would definitely be a change, but I think it could play well to have Murdock defend Castle against the Mob. And then, to see the dynamic between Murdock and Punisher, which actually crosses paths sometimes as far as being a vigilante.

But, I would even be good with seeing Punisher working with Shield or something and then doing his own thing and just pissing everybody off, haha.

But yeah, keeping Hawkeye's family alive would definitely be the smart move

And, Dark Reign!! Yes. I want that to happen. I'm really just as excited to see Spider-Man as I am to see Osborn in the MCU.

Haha, I think he was the Punisher's lawyer in "The Punisher" Playstation 2 game, ha

But, yeah, I think that would rock, I want to see that, or Murdock representing Castle's case against the mob who murdered his family, and then realizing after doing some research that the Mob is corrupt and bought out by the cops.

And seeing Murdock have to try to tell Castle not to murder the mob even though they deserve it, or something like that

Awesome. This is one of the coolest conversations I've seen on this site.

And, having Pym be at that the center of a time travel movie would be amazing. I'm loving that idea, that would work so well, and having a scene where young Pym meets old Pym would blow my mind.

Awesome stuff

Haha, awesome.

Nice, yeah, I could see that, and it would fit Pym.

I doubt they'll go that route either, but it could also factor into why Old Pym seems to be hiding away and is locking himself up in his house in Ant-Man. I can't wait to see how they portray Pym in that movie, and I think there are supposed to be flashbacks too.

And, just thinking about Young Pym time traveling is awesome

Killing off geriatric Pym and Scott Lang would be a great first step for fixing them MCU. Then just bring a young Hank and Janet into the present, from the past, with the time gem. They could join the Avengers and everything could be great. Also, Tony Stark creating Ulron will never make sense. He is not a scientist. He is an engineer. And although the MCU turned him into a quasi-scientist out of necessity (lack of Hank Pym) he will never be the real the real thing.

I really want to see Young Pym in the present, badly. But, I can't wait to see what Douglas brings to the role. There's something about old Pym that really fits from the trailers.

No, I haven't but my friends have told me all about it. So you won't spoil anything for me. I don't plan on seeing it. And I just can't bring myself to even care about old Pym. The longer I look at him the more pissed I get thinking about what could have been. lol

Haha, gotcha

Stark needs Banner a lot in Age of Ultron. Banner doesn't only help create Ultron but he helps create Vision too.

So, it makes it a little more plausible that both Banner and Stark could work together to create Ultron.

But, yeah, someday, I really want to see Pym, Reed, Banner, and Stark on screen together, that will blow my mind
