SPOILERS: The Identity Of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN's Red Goblin Has Been Revealed By An Amazon Listing

Dan Slott's final Amazing Spider-Man story will introduce us to the Red Goblin and fans have been wondering for weeks now who he could be. Well, an Amazon listing has spoiled the big reveal in advance...

Dan Slott has reportedly saved his best Amazing Spider-Man story for last but the Amazon UK website may have ruined the story's biggest twist! Norman Osborn was rendered powerless at the end of Superior Spider-Man but has made a nuisance of himself ever since and this description reveals that he is, in fact, the Red Goblin and the villain will be armed with the Carnage symbiote when he returns!

Looking at pictures of the character, he looks a little like Carnage and this is certainly one way to give Norman back his powers! This may also debunk theories that he's going to make a deal with Mephisto to undo the events of "One More Day" but that is still possible so we'll have to wait and see for now.

"Go down Swinging! Norman Osborn has finally found a way to become a Goblin again and is gunning for Spider-Man in the biggest way possible. His new weapon? The Carnage Symbiote! There’s never been a bigger tougher Goblin/Spider-Man story than this! Collecting: Amazing Spider-Man 797-801."

Slott's final issue of Amazing Spider-Man will be issue #801 and you have to believe he'll leave Peter Parker in a very different place for the next creative team (rumoured to include writer Nick Spencer).

At least he's not injecting himself with Red Hulk serum.

I wish JMS was back at the writer's table for ASM. It was my favorite run. My two cents...

I love Marvel movies and TV shows but Marvel comics are so boring, DC is killing it in the comics department

A Carnage/Goblin mix actually sounds pretty cool to me.

Does Marvel refuse to create new characters? I'm sick of all this remix garbage, or reinventions of old characters.

That's what was so disappointing about Hickman's The End and Secret Wars run. It wasn't anything new. It was just a creative remix of elements we already know and love.

Hickman's initial mythology captivated me. Then it turned out to just be Dr. Doom. Womp womp.

sounds like a horrible cliche, and it also sounds terrifying at the same time.
