CHAPTER 11:
THE NEXT FIVE YEARS

Of all the CBMs coing out, none are more built up and more anticipated than...

THE INCREDIBLES 2!

But the OTHER most anticipated CBMs of the future are from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. People were excited when a presentation revealed the Phase 3 lineup. People were even MORE excitedwhen two movies were added to the Phase 3 lineup (even if it meant we had to wait for Captain Marvel even longer). So here is what the future has in store for the MCU.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016)

WHAT WE KNOW: Most of Avengers will be reprising the roles, while Thor & Hulk will be sitting this out. Frank Grillo will return as Crossbones and Daniel Bruhl has been cast as Zemo. Ant-Man, Agetn 13, Black Panther, BUcky, Falcon, and War Machine are Avengers now, and no one knows who Martin Freeman is playing.
WHAT I THINK: While some people are skeptical about this movie dubbing it "Iron Man 4" or "Avengers 2.5", I am incredibly excited about this movie. I just hope that they'll be able to flesh out these characters in a short period of time. And Spider-Man better be amazing!

LUKE CAGE (2016)

WHAT WE KNOW: Mike Colter will reprise his role from Jessica Jones and Notorious writer, Cheo Choker, is the showrunner.
WHAT I THINK: I don't know what I think because I haven't watched Jessica Jones, but from the trailers, Colter seems to be doing a good job. I'll probably be more excited when I watch Jessica Jones (which will hopefully be soon), but as right now, I'm interested.

DOCTOR STRANGE (2016)

WHAT WE KNOW: Sinister director Scott Derekson will direct a script wirtten by the Prometheus writer that's NOT Damon Lindelof. Benidect Cumberbatch will play the title role, while Tilda Swinton and Chiwtel Ejiofor will play TheAncient One and Baron Mondo. RachelMcAdams has been cast in an unknown role
WHAT I THINK: Great cast. Great director. Nothing to hate here. I was a bit taken aback when Swinton was cast. But she's Tilda Swinton, she can do anything. I hope this will finally (properly) introduce magic into the MCU.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 2 (2017)

WHAT WE KNOW: James Gunn and Nicole Pearlman are back. Most of the original cast is back. Pachino said he's interested in a role. Pom Klementieff was joined the cast as Mantis. It's said that the movie will feature Star-Lord's father, but Gunn revealed that it would no be J'Son.
WHAT I THINK: I'm incredibly excited for this one. I'm a bit upset that Nova or J'Son won't be in this, but (for Nova at least) there's always next time. My only worry is that they won't be able to top THE AWESOME MIX.

THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (2017)

WHAT WE KNOW: Cop Car director Jon Watts will director. John Goldstein and John Daley will write the script. Tom Holland will play Spider-Man. Marisa Tomei has been cast as Aunt May. And no one is Jameson yet (GET SIMMONS).
WHAT I THINK: I have mixed feelings. One one hand, I liked The Amazing Spider-Man (1) and Andrew Garfield. On the other hand, Sony proved with TASM 2 that they were kind of losing it. So I hope Marvel can do Spidey justice. I just hope that if they use two villains, one of them is a lackey (like in the Winter Soldier).

THOR: RAGNAROK (OR THE HULK/THOR COMEDY HOUR) (2017)

WHAT WE KNOW: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Jaimie Alexander are the only cast members from the previous film confirmed to return (so far). The Hulk will be along for the reide. Cate Blanchett is rumored to appear. What We Do In The Shadows director, Taika Waititi will direct.
WHAT I THINK: As one of the ten people who liked The Dark World, I am actually prett excited for this one. I am excited to see Loki. I'm excited to see the Hulk. I'm excited to see the Hulk beat the crap out of Loki. I'm excited to see the Norse apocallypse. And I'm excited to see how big an effect this has on the MCU as Fegie promised.

BLACK PANTHER (2018)

WHAT WE KNOW: John Robert Cole will write the script and Chadwick Boseman is playing T'Challa.
WHAT I THINK: For the most part, I'm excited. Chadwick Boseman is a great actor. Black Panther is a great character, I'm surprised it took them this long to get a Black Panther movie out, but I'll take what I can get.My only concern is that Marvel can't find a director. First, they tried to get the director of Selma. She said no. Then they tried to get F. Gary Grey. But he left to direct Furious 8. Then they tried to get Ryan Coogler. HE SAID NO. I just hope they can get a good director.

ANT-MAN & WASP (2018)

WHAT WE KNOW: Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily are set to return and Peyton reed is negotiatons for returning as director
WHAT I THINK: A sequel to my favorite CBM of the year? Of course I'm excited. I just hope they can make a better villain this time.

CAPTAIN MARVEL (2019)

WHAT WE KNOW: GotG cowriter, Nicole Pearlman, and Inside Out cowriter, Meg LeFauve, will write the script. However,Fegie has said that no actress or director will be chosen this year (DORMER FOR MARVEL!).
WHAT I THINK: I'm really excitedfor this one. Pearlman and LeFauve are very talented writers and as long as they get a good actress, be it Emily Blunt or Dormer or anyone else whose name isn't Ronda Rousy, this will be great. But really, International Woman's Day? That's a pity date.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR: PART I & PART II (2018/2019)

WHAT WE KNOW: Most of the original Avengers cast will return, but ScarJo has not been confirmed yet (Which means Black Widow could die in Civil War, who knows?) Josh Brolin will, ofcourse, be Thanos. There are many rumours that the Guardians will appear inthis.
WHAT I THINK: THIS WILL KICK ALL KINDS OF ASS!

INHUMANS (2019)

WHAT WE KNOW:  John Robert Cole, who is currently writing BlackPanther, will script this film. It is unknown if any of the Inhumans from Agents of SHIELD willbe in this movie.Vin Diesel is rumoured for Black Bolt. Also, this was almost cancelled.
WHAT I THINK: Meh. Maybe I would be a bit more excited if I watched Agents of SHIELD, but as of right now, I don't really care. Not to say it won't be good, I'm just not really that interested right now. Although, Vin Diesel as Black Bolt could be okay.

IRON FIST (TBA)

WHAT WE KNOW: Despite some rumours that the show was canned or that would be a Netflix movie instead, the show will go ahead as planned.
WHAT I THINK: Iron FIst seems like an interesting character, and if DareDevil and Jessica Jones are getting somerave reviews, than this has gotten my attention.

So, that was the History of the MCU. But before I end this off, I would like to say this:

Guys, there are good CBMs out there. And some of them aren't made by Marvel.

Yes, I know it's hard to accept, but it's true. Just because you didn't like the Amazing Spider-Man films, that all Sony-Spidey films were bad. Just because X-Men 3 wasn't as good as you hoped and Origins was terrible, that doesn't mean that ALL the X-Men films are bad. Just because Man Of Steel wasn't up to Nolan standard, that doesn't mean all of DC's upcoming films will be bad.

The point is: Marvel. DC. FOX (for the most part). Can't we all just get along?

WELL, SCREW YOU TOO!
I LIKE ALL THREE (EVEN AFTER FANT4STIC)

But the question is: Which of these is better?

THE BEST ONE IS...

HARRY POTTER!

Yeah, Screw those other three! WHERE'S THE WIZARDING WORLD CINEMATIC UNIVERSE?
