With 2022 marking the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man, Marvel Comics is set to relaunch the wall-crawler's flagship title with a new #1 issue this April. Writer Zeb Wells is taking charge of Amazing Spider-Man, while legendary artist John Romita Jr. will be joining him for what's shaping up to an exciting fresh start (that we're assuming will lead to the historic issue #900 later this year).

Now, Marvel Comics has revealed some variant covers for the relaunch with artwork by Peach Momoko, InHyuk Lee, Stanley "Artgerm" Lau, Travis Charest, Humberto Ramos, and a Hidden Gem cover by Mark Bagley and John Romita Sr. Apparently, we can expect many more to follow in the coming weeks, including sure to be spectacular efforts by Russell Dauterman and Patrick Gleason.

"Marvel has allowed me to get back to work on this amazing character, and work with another brilliant writer, Zeb Wells," Romita Jr. recently said of his return. "The stories are stunning and I am reading the scripts with a grin and wonderment...then wondering how the heck to do them justice!"

"Well, fortunately, I have a close friend and brilliant artist to help me do that. Scott Hanna and I have worked on this character before and Scott is still a brilliant artist who will continue to be brilliant, lucky for me and anyone who looks at the art," he continued. "Adding to Scott and myself is the third artist, the color artist, Marcio Menyz. It’s difficult to describe how wonderful his work is, so to save space and everyone’s patience, I’ll let it speak for itself! It’s stunning!"

These relaunches are getting faster each run. How long until comic series don't make it past 10 issues before getting a new number 1...

@Nightwing1015 - Wouldn't be too far off from the yearly line-wide relaunches back in the Marvel Now/Avengers Now/All new Marvel Now/Marvel Now 2.0/All new-all different Marvel Now years. Everything got 12-issues at most followed by a relaunch the next year.

Which I'm pretty sure it ended by doing plain old Marvel Now! a 2nd time.

Weird how of all the villains who made that one cover, Sandman isn't present

@Slotherin - it is considering that Molten Man did unless its Tombstone.

@marvel72 - that's definitely Molten Man.
Weird to not see Tombstone nor Hammerhead on that note.

Stop relaunching it back to issue #1.

@Darkknight2149 - If only, they could just have jumping on points.

I started collecting Uncanny X-Men from issue 205,granted I use to read my dad's comics but he still had gaps in his collection.

You can still pick enough of the story to get what's going on.
