This summer, the Avengers, the X-Men, the Eternals, and more will face judgment on a cosmic scale and the very fate of the Marvel Universe will hang in the balance in A.X.E.: Judgement Day

Written by Kieron Gillen and illustrated by artist Valerio Schiti, this latest Marvel Comics crossover event begins when the Eternals target mutantkind and the Avengers find themselves struggling to prevent an apocalyptic war between two of the strongest factions on the planet. The saga will pay off various plot threads, including mutantkind’s newfound immortality, the Eternals' discovery of long-hidden truths about their species, and the Avengers' intense dealings with the Celestials.

In August's A.X.E.: Judgement Day #3 and #4, the Celestial known as the Progenitor will rise to usher in the second act of the event where various heroes and villains stand for judgment. Defending their past actions and mistakes in fascinating ways, it appears big changes are coming for all of these characters, but it's Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr.'s Amazing Spider-Man #10 that's left us particularly intrigued.

"It's time for Spider-Man to be judged," reads the issue's official description, "and fans won’t be surprised to see which moment in Spidey’s history is going to weigh heavily on the proceedings. You don’t want to miss this very special issue that might just break your heart all over again."

@dracula - The Gwen that Spider-Gwen met was technically Earth-617 Gwen, not Earth-616 Gwen (aka the actual OG Comic Gwen). I say technically because, according to the comic, Earth 617 only diverged from Earth 616 a few weeks before Gwen’s death because 617-Gwen met and interacted with Spider-Gwen, which resulted in Earth-617 Gwen never dying and later on bonding with the Venom symbiote. As a result, you can debatably argue whether that counts as OG Gwen or not.

Honestly, the closest they’ve actually come to actually bringing back OG Gwen Stacy before this was during Clone Conspiracy. With the way the cloning rules seem to work in that issue, the Gwen that appeared there was technically the original. Even then though, she seemingly died again after (although it was off panel, so they could retcon it).

I miss the time when you'd read a comic book and be surprised by what comes next.

Now they tell you what's going to happen months in advance,so and so 1st appearance here or the death of so and so here.

Have anyone here read the actual article, beofre bitching?
It seems they're not ressurectig her, but Peter will be confronted with the fact she died on his watch, via illusions, reliving the trauma or being confronted by her ghost.

If she's coming back... Well this is exactly the type of crap that drove me away rom regular comics in the early 2000s.

MJ married to some other guy with kids and now Gwen’s coming back…. Poor Peter he’s never gonna get to meet a new lady. It’s always Gwen, MJ and Felicia.

Marvel is really going epic just for a promotional comic involving AXE Body Spray (spoilers: the mutual love for Phoenix scent is what brings all the factions together in the end.)
