Doctor Doom's face has never been revealed...until now. In the pages of today's Secret Wars #3, he removes his mask, and it instantly becomes clear why he covers his face up! The accident caused by Reed Richards has not only left him scarred, but also missing some teeth and a nose, and this is an interesting contrast to the original Secret Wars in which Victor Von Doom healed himself. Anyway, what do you guys think about this reveal? Did Marvel make the right decision by revealing his face or would this have been better off left a mystery? Seriously not to be rude but have you ever read an FF comic? That's not the damage from the accident when Doom didn't carry the 1 in his math trying to raise Mephisto, that's the damage from the mask being fitted to his face while it was still cooling and when Ben nearly killed Doom in the early FF books after Doom sent the Baxter Building into space. For over a year Kirby drew Doom appearances with two broken arms. Please next time you write an article about a comic book do some research.

I prefer the version where Doctor Doom has only one small scar but is so self absorbed and such a perfectionist he feels that one small scar still makes him imperfect and so there for must cover it with a giant mask

Why doesn't he have a nose? As I recall, the explosion that initially damaged his face only left him with a couple of scars before he decided to burn it with his still hot mask after it was forged. Don't know where he would have lost a nose in that chain of events.

Secret Wars has been great. Terrific art, unpredictable and the tie-ins have been interesting too.

Actually that's the result of the Living Tribunal's curse in FF #16. As the Tribunal said, "...each base act of malice on your part will carve a new scar on your heretofore unblemished visage." Doom's face will reflect his heart.

There are so many pictures of his face, although this new picture looks weird, he doesn't look like normal Doom. He looks like a different ethnicity.
