Hugh is looking jacked, man!

The online banter between Deadpool 3 co-stars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds continues, with the former taking to Twitter to share a gym photo as he continues his intense workout regime in preparation to reprise the role of Wolverine in the threequel.

Jackman, 54, can be seen flexing with a dumbbell alongside fitness coach Beth Lewis. He tagged Reynolds with the caption: "He's only 46. I'm older. But it's not a competition."

This snap is in response to a photo of Reynolds lifting two 60 lbs. barbells in each hand that the Wade Wilson actor posted last week."I'm not training for Deadpool," he wrote on his Instagram Story. "I'm training to spend several months with @thehughjackman — who's not as nice as everyone thinks."

Jackman posted an image of Deadpool's mask alongside Wolverine's signature headpiece last month, leading to speculation that we might finally see Logan in his classic yellow costume.

Plot details remain under wraps for now, but Wolvie and Wade are expected to find themselves (trapped?) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (possibly facilitated by Loki's TVA) for a 48 Hours-inspired road-trip.

There are rumors that the Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut will be far more integral to Phase 5 and beyond than we realize, however.

Deadpool 3 hits theaters on September 6, 2024.
