DEADPOOL 3 Leaked Story Details Claim To Reveal How The Movie Ties To LOKI And The TVA

Following yesterday evening's game-changing Loki finale, new details have emerged about how the events of that series will set the stage for Deadpool 3 and the role of the TVA in the upcoming threequel...

Last night's Loki finale revealed how the God of Mischief created the Multiverse, giving those on every timeline free will and the chance to fight back in the Multiversal War which is on the horizon courtesy of Kang and his many Variants.

There have long been rumblings about next summer's Deadpool 3 featuring the Time Variance Authority and, for a while, it sounded like Owen Wilson would appear in the threequel as Mobius. Now, though, we have additional details about how Loki sets the stage for the Merc with the Mouth and Wolverine's long-awaited team-up.

"The events of Deadpool 3 take place after the Loki [season 2] finale," scooper @MyTimeToShineH claims. "The TVA got word that the Kangs are gathering and a new Multiversal War is about to start so they create an army of Multiversal heroes, mostly from dying worlds, to fight the Council of Kangs."

"Mr. Paradox is replacing Mobius (Mobius was going to be in it for a while and could still have a cameo but they decided to just leave him out of this story. He'll be back in full in the Avengers films) and is trying to recruit Wolverine. Deadpool who's a prisoner at the TVA after messing with time hears about it and [escapes]. His plan is to get Wolverine to come with him instead so they could become BFFs."

If that is indeed the premise of the movie, then it sounds awesome. We've heard that a group of Multiversal heroes will be key in the next Avengers movies, so all signs point to Deadpool 3 being a must-see chapter in the wider Multiverse Saga.

In fact, that's something The Hollywood Reporter mentioned lately when the trade said, "[it's] the most important project for the studio outside of anything with Avengers in the title." With it now the only MCU movie heading to theaters in 2024, Marvel Studios is likely banking on Deadpool 3 putting the Multiverse Saga back on the right track and being a $1+ billion hit, to boot.

Alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Deadpool franchise vets Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), and Rob Delaney (Peter) are all set to return in this threequel.

Emma Corrin is expected to play Cassandra Nova, while Matthew Macfadyen will likely take on the role of a TVA agent named Paradox. It's also been confirmed that Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra, with Liev Schreiber, James Marsden, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, singer Taylor Swift (potentially as Dazzler), and even Loki's Owen Wilson expected to appear.

Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.

@Order66 -
Personally, the TVA aspect has made me lose interest. I found it more compelling when it was Ryan Reynolds having the freedom to make jokes at the expense of stupid studio decisions while wanting to hang out with Wolverine.

This film instead sounds like a mess. The overlap between those who watched X-Men, those who watch Loki S1 & S2 and those who are fans of Deadpool is so minimal that I doubt it ends up doing as well as people think.

I'm also concerned about post-production, which is 2 months shorter due to the strikes even with the delay to July. Plus all the writing is pre-writers strike from before Disney understood that mocking how bad its stories was isn't engaging (She-Hulk)

The first movie made $782.6m, the second $785.8m. This hints more to a potential limitation of the brand, so I doubt Deadpool 3 makes more. Could it be profitable, sure... but it's effectively another The Flash mixed with The Marvels, just a bunch of empty nostalgia shoved in because X-Men is more popular than anything they actually developed in Disney MCU.

@Scarilian - I agree 100%. I was so super excited hearing about a Deadpool/Woly team-up fun movie. Everything I've heard since has made me lose interest more and more. So instead of getting something cool like more Cable or introducing Bishop we get the boring-ass TVA and characters from franchises that are long dead. There was a reason those movies had been stopped from being made and why Iron-Man was so refreshing and amazing. I say this is someone that likes the Fox-Men and their younger versions more than most.

Every connection they make to the MCU now just makes me think how sad it is that they are using this movie to sell MCU future stuff by using 2 hugely popular characters from another franchise. All because the audience is getting bored and uninterested in the story and characters they are doing now and are planning for the future. It reeks of desperation and seems to be continuing their plan of using older popular stuff to sell less popular new stuff. This is a Disney problem not just Marvel, it's being used in SW and now Doctor Who too along with other properties like Willow.

Man, I hope one of the multiversal champions is Josh Brolin's Cable. Keep hoping he might make an appearance in this. To me he was the best part of Deadpool 2, and since this deals with time travel and multiverse shite, it's right in his wheelhouse.

CorndogBurglar - 11/10/2023, 8:29 PM
@Jackraow21 - I would love the multiverse heroes to be Deadpool, Wolverine, James Marsden Cyclops so he can finally get his time to shine, Toby Spider-Man, Channing Tatum Gambit, the MCU Dr Doom, Dolph Lundgren Punisher, Chris Evans Human Torch, Ben Affleck Daredevil, and Halle Berry Storm.
Jackraow21
Jackraow21 - 11/10/2023, 9:11 PM
@bkmeijer1 - Wow. Hadn’t thought about that, but Brolin showing up as Stryfe, who could just be an uber powerful variant of Cable without the T-O virus in the movie actually, would be quite rad. Great idea!
WarMonkey
WarMonkey - 11/11/2023, 8:13 AM
@Jackraow21 - Doing a time-travel film with Deadpool and not bringing back Cable and introducing Bishop or bringing back him back from Days of Future Past is actually a dereliction of duty and they should be shamed for that IMHO. More I think about it the more it actually annoys me. The type of interesting stories that could be told if they weren't focusing their time and effort on building up the dying MCU with other franchise characters would be so freaking exciting.

Marvel is such a mess these days. What once made it unique is now rounding off the edges and makin it dull. I fear I’m losing interest in the genre like I did with Walking Dead.

Se4M4NSt4ine - 11/10/2023, 5:02 PM
@Usernametaken - nah… I think this is the perfect movie, and character for Marvel to kind of poke fun at themselves and the recent “poor” form they’ve had.

Having Wolverine be the “chosen” hero to lead this team is just poetic as well - thus far we’ve thought they were paired up by the TVA, but it’s hilarious and fitting for Deadpool to have no right being in his own movie to invite himself along and to [frick] it all up, is a great way for Marvel to have a reset of sorts (especially after the bumpy start post Endgame) going into the new Avengers films.

The best Deadpool comics have always been the ones that start off being a comic that has nothing to do with him, for him to gatecrash it just like this lol

Who’d of thought we’d be banking on Deadpool!
StSteven
StSteven - 11/10/2023, 5:54 PM
@Se4M4NSt4ine - Yeah I agree. I'm totally expecting DP to make fun of everything that the fans and others have been complaining about post-"Endgame" and as a way to reset/course-correct right in front of everyone. Like, I expect plenty of DP saying stuff like "Are you kidding me? More Multiverse bullshit?!?" and "Does anyone know what the f**k is going on here?!?" and "Oh who cares ?!?" when the TVA is trying to explain how things work in the Multiverse and so on.

And if they REALLY wanted to go meta, they could even do stuff like DP visiting the set of "DD:BA" and going on like "Wait- this this the fourth f**king episode and we haven't seen DD yet? What is this happy horseshit?!? Fire everyone and start the f**k over!!!" and DP going down a list of planned Marvel TV shows and movies and just crossing shit off the list (i.e. "Wonderman", "Echo", "Agatha", etc.) and then being like "What? what do you mean "Echo" already came out? Did anyone actually watch that?"

It would be a pretty ballsy thing to do, but hell they're making an R-rated DP movie in the MCU so I guess anything's possible.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - Doesn't make any sense to have Deadpool 3 both mocking the multiverse saga and at the same time being the biggest set up for Kang Dynasty.

Unless they're making big changes and Deadpool 3 ends with Kang being killed and the multiverse saga brought to an end (thus canceling Kang Dynasty) sorry but I don't like any of this.

What was cool about Deadpool was the fact that it was a more down to earth, street fighting character. Now Deadpool 3 will just be another movie sacrificed to set up an Avengers movie.

Moreover, this movie will require people to have watched Loki and god knows how many other MCU movies or TV shows... This is just Marvel going full throttle on what is wrong right now with the MCU.

This should have been a sequel to Deadpool 1 & 2 with Wolverine in it, and that's it. But no, it has to be about kang and the multiverse, again...

If those rumors are true, this movie is going to make even more people turn away from the MCU.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - People working at Disney lack a sense of humor and have proven they do not have the ability to self-reflect. This movie won't poke fun at Disney it'll be used to sell future Disney products, which is exactly why they are cramming in all this MCU baggage now.

WarMonkey
WarMonkey - 11/12/2023, 6:48 AM
@SauronthePower - You're kidding me right? I literally sighed and then said out-loud during that scene "Are you freaking kidding me?!". I actually love cats and have been a cat owner for majority of my life but seeing them in a Marvel movie is not for me. I kept wondering why am I watching cats in a Marvel superhero film every time they showed up. Also I never got over the Nick Fury cat scratch scene. The ruining of his character actually pissesd me off, he used to be so freaking cool.
SauronthePower
SauronthePower - 11/12/2023, 7:45 AM
@WarMonkey - Owned many (currently do not) cats in my life and I really didn’t have a problem with it

I can agree w you on the Fury eye backstory but everything else you stated is a matter of personal opinion

Also, it was never really about the cats, as opposed to the Flerkins

The humor would be Ms Marvel using her transmuting abilities to force the SABRE workers to their fate

It was sick, twisted, and yes…funny
