DEADPOOL 3 Star Ryan Reynolds Responds To Hugh Jackman: "Wolverine & Deadpool... Not On Your Life, Chappie"

Hugh Jackman recently posted a video poking fun at Ryan Reynolds' performance in Spirited, and his Deadpool 3 co-star has shared a much more respectful response... right up until the end!

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are set to team-up for Deadpool 3, and the actors have been having a lot of fun promoting the upcoming threequel with a series of social media videos.

Jackman recently shared a vid pleading with Academy voters not to nominate his co-star for "Best Original Song" for his performance in Apple TV+'s Spirited, and he referred to the Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut as "Wolverine and Deadpool" towards the end of the clip.

Now, Reynolds has posted a far nicer and more respectful response... right up until he knocks his screen to the floor and makes it very clear that he has no intention of allowing Jackman's character to get top billing!

"Wolverine and Deadpool... who is he kiddin'. Not on your life, Chappie."

These guys will probably keep this Twitter feud going for a while, and we wouldn't be surprised if the "dueling titles" (Wolverine and Deadpool/Deadpool and Wolverine) factored into the movie's official promotion ahead of its release next year.

Specific plot details remain under wraps for now, but Wolvie and Wade are expected to find themselves (trapped?) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (possibly facilitated by Loki's TVA) for a 48 Hours-inspired road-trip.

They're going to push the bromance thing till the movie comes out, aren't they?

@Blergh - haha yeah, I'm genuinely excited for this one, but I feel I'm going to get bored of it before it comes out.

I think part of the reason why some audiences are being turned off Marvels latest stuff is that there's too much exposure and by the time it comes out, it doesn't hit the same.

Maybe I'll try to avoid more stories and media in general for the next couple movies and see if it makes a difference.

@ModHaterSLADE - same here. Weird seeing people complain about it and say it's getting old. They aren't just doing this because of the movie, they've always done stuff like this to each other.

It doesn't take much for Reynolds to cross the line from comedic to annoying...

But I really hope they manage to keep a cap on this movie and not let too many details slip before its released. Would be nice to be genuinely surprised at a Marvel movie when it comes out.

@UniqNo - You just summed up Deadpool’s whole schtick above… goes from funny to annoying real quick. I like it when they remind you that, annoying or not, he’s a pretty deadly MFer, though. Hope we see plenty of that in this film.

@Jackraow21 - This exactly why I dread how they handle Deadpool in the MCU. Because in the comics he was appearing in everyone's books for a while there, and he instantly turns a serious story into the idiot hour.

So I'm hoping he doesn't appear in movies outside of his own. Do all the Deadpool and (enter character name) movies they want. Do the comedy there. But keep him out of everyone else's movies.

@Jackraow21 - Yeah, they have no excuse for this movie to NOT be filled with some sick action. With it being R rated I'm looking forward to seeing more action like in Logan where he really cuts some MF's up. Another berserker rage out would also be great.

@CorndogBurglar - Yeah, when he had that thing going with Mistress Death and Thanos... that did NOT sit well with me at all. The cosmic stuff is the cosmic stuff, and should stay just that...

@UniqNo - Man, that opening scene in Logan where he murders those dude trying to steal the wheels off his limo? That was so badass. As soon as you see that scene you knew it wasn't going 5o be your average X-Flick.

@Corruptor - I mean the '70s equivalent was Howard the Duck, they at least kept him pretty much in his own book even though he was part of the Marvel Universe. They knew when to keep stuff separate and when to crossover and not overdo it back then. Gotta love the '70s.

@CorndogBurglar - Yeah, crazy how it took them 9 movies to finally show a guy with claw knives to cut up some folks and drop a few f bombs.

@UniqNo - Don't get me wrong, the scene in X2 when Wolverine went nuts on those soldiers that broke into the mansion was pretty cool too. It just wasn't gory.

@CorndogBurglar - I mean I get it. It had to be pg/pg 13 for the business to be good, and yes that X2 moment was great. I rememeber watching the bts stuff on the double disc dvd a few times. Ahh the good old days..

I'm just grateful for Logan though as we finally got to see Wolvie rally realised.

Hopefully Deadpool 3 takes that a step further with a suit.

@UniqNo - They've got to, right? They know everyone wants to see the suit. And Ryan Reynolds seems to be pretty in touch with what fans want to see. I'm sure at least he knows how important the suit isnto everyone, even if Jackman doesn't.

I also reckon it will be one of the 1st pieces of key art released when production is underway...🤞🏽

Or they could both stop this childish game and get busy making the movie 🤷‍♂️
