It's been a busy few years for Ryan Reynolds, with movies like Hitman's Wife's BodyguardFree Guy, and Red Notice all following one after the other. Recently, the actor wrapped work on Spirited alongside Will Ferrell, but he's now confirmed that it's time for him to take a little break.

"That’s a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago," Reynolds says in the Instagram post below. "Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists. These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I’ve been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both."

Of course, we're sure that most of you will be wondering what this means for Deadpool 3

While it's been reported that shooting is set to begin next year, the Marvel Studios threequel doesn't have a director yet. Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin are penning the screenplay, though, and if the actor is just planning to take 3-6 months off, then cameras can still start rolling in 2022.

No one can blame Reynolds for wanting to take some time off, and we're sure the Merc with the Mouth remains a priority. There's still no word on how Deadpool will be added to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the R-Rated adventure remains one of the most highly anticipated Phase 4/5 movies.
