Earlier today, we got a first look at Ryan Reynolds suited up as the Merc with the Mouth on the set of Deadpool 3.
While the costume has remained largely the same, it's also ditched the muted colours from 20th Century Fox's X-Men Universe and gone with a brighter palette that should fit better into the MCU's aesthetic. The question is, will Hugh Jackman's Wolverine also suit up?
We spent years hoping that would happen, with only a deleted scene from The Wolverine even coming close to teasing the possibility Logan might don something akin to his comic book counterpart's yellow and blue uniform.
Well, as you can see in the Instagram post below, a reliable scooper is claiming we'll see the clawed mutant in a costume inspired by what the hero wore in Joss Whedon and John Cassaday's Astonishing X-Men.
That's widely considered Wolverine's best comic book costume and one it will be downright incredible to see Jackman wear in Deadpool 3. As set photos begin finding their way online, we can only hope a first look at the suit will find its way online sooner rather than later.
Alongside Ryan Reynolds and Wolverine, Deadpool franchise vets Karan Soni (Dopinder), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio), and Rob Delaney (Peter) are all also set to return.
Emma Corrin has also signed up as a mystery character, while we also recently learned that Matthew Macfadyen will likely play a TVA agent named Paradox in the movie.
Deadpool 3 is set to be released in theaters on May 3, 2024.
