DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Stills Highlight Key Trailer Moments As Fans Spot Some HUGE Cameos In First Sneak Peek

Marvel Studios has released a new gallery of stills from Deadpool 3, but did you notice the cameos and teases in the trailer itself? We're breaking them down in this spoilery analysis! Check it out...

The first trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine was released during the Super Bowl last night and that's now been followed by an official gallery of stills from the Marvel Studios movie.

Those primarily highlight key moments from the red-band sneak peek but we're hearing a green-band version - with more new footage - could be around the corner. For now, though, this preview offers plenty of exciting hints about what's to come.

At the start of the trailer, we see a host of familiar faces from the first two Deadpool movies, including Blind Al, Shatterstar, Vanessa, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Colossus. It's then that the TVA arrives, and seeing as there were once rumours he was in talks for a role, we can't help but wonder whether Matthew Macfadyen's character was once meant to be Owen Wilson's Mobius.

Earth-616 is highlighted on the TVA's screens, with all signs pointing to Wade Wilson being inserted into Avengers: Age of Ultron's snowy opening sequence.

The villainous Cassandra Nova is shown from behind, as is Patch, the moniker Wolverine adopted when he donned an eyepatch and hid out in Madripoor. That doesn't look like Hugh Jackman, though, and some believe it could be Daniel Radcliffe's rumoured cameo as a Logan Variant!

We don't yet know why the Merc with the Mouth appears to be battling the TVA, but yes, that is indeed Alioth who snatches up one of the agents. Aaron Stanford, meanwhile, reprises his role as Pyro from the original X-Men movies.

As for the threequel's title, Deadpool & Wolverine, it seems the original idea was to go with "Deadpool & Friend" before revealing the movie's true name down the line. The joke was spoiled in advance thanks to trademark listings, a shame, but we'd say it's much smarter to stick Wolvie's name in there from the start!

Check out these new stills below.

Marvel Jesus is going to stick if this ends up making bank at the box office.

I doubt it needs positive reviews but it will likely get a fair bit of praise.

Only struggle i see is it being rated R... but Hey John Wick 3 and 4 did just fine.

@UniqNo - Deadpool's budget is probably two to three times that of john wick 4 though, so the profit margain is a hell of a lot different.

@UniqNo - they need to market it like barbenheimer. No DP of Wolverine related film has evet broken 1B, and that was during the height of cbms. It's a different landscape now that even Tom Cruise and the Fast movies are having a hard time reaching 700M
Origame
Origame - 2/12/2024, 5:23 AM
@UniqNo - it's hard to say. The average box office for Deadpool movies is around $780 mil. They were considered massive successes because of their low budgets.

While no official word has been given its been speculated this movies budget could be $250 mil. Assuming this, and it getting at least the average Deadpool box office, it'll make a small profit. Which isn't terrible, but not the saving grace the mcu needs right now.

In short, marvel needs to learn to budget their films better.

Yeah, i think the 1st 2nd had good box office runs which was more than the previous x movies i think and that's no small task especially as they were rated R when the others aside from Logan were pg or pg13.

But with the way CBM's are being received these days there's no telling how good it will do.

They're definitley going to need to market the hell out of this and with the amount of star rumoured to cameo etc i can also imagine They're going to spoil a few nearer the time to get as many butts in seats as possible. I can also picfure then erasing them from the trailers in a similar fashion to how they did Garfield's spiderman from no way home.

@Origame - It might be this year Spider-Man:No Way Home, not saying Deadpool is as popular as Spider-Man but it could be a hit because of nostalgia.

Still can't believe we are getting Cassandra Nova, before we get Doctor Doom.
lazlodaytona
lazlodaytona - 2/12/2024, 5:38 AM
@Mother[frick]erJon - Marvel might be pulling a 'Green Lantern' and trying to distance the memory of Doom from the 3 previous films that where 'meh' to 'disastrous.'
DRDOOM4EVER
DRDOOM4EVER - 2/12/2024, 7:13 AM
@Mother[frick]erJon - well Doom was in it if you saw the Secret Wars comic on the ground, it's issue 5 of Hickmans run with Doom on the cover so he will be coming...they would be insane not to finally bring Marvel's supreme and ultimate villain...

@ObserverIO - There's no way they'd debut Doom in the teaser for Deadpool 3, right?
ObserverIO
ObserverIO - 2/13/2024, 5:20 AM
@ClintThaHamster - Since it's the void, I wouldn't think it's the actual MCU Doom, probably just a variant. But there's likely to be references to the previous FF movies, so we'll probably have some Doom variants anyway. Maybe this is Julian McMahon's Doom or Toby Kebbel's Doom, but in more Mad Max-esque clothing.
Clintthahamster
Clintthahamster - 2/13/2024, 7:12 AM
@ObserverIO - I just don't see it. They didn't even show Wolverine (other than the back of Patch's head) in this trailer. I don't see them giving up Doom that early. But we'll see!

I'm not the biggest Deadpool fan generally, but it is breathtaking how good that suit looks in live action. It's the page on screen.

I hope the excitement for a trailer is equally there after release. Marvel has been consistent recently to be otherwise.

I love the way they're fighting on the fallen fox studios sign. I loved deadpool 1, didn't like deadpool 2 but this one looks better than both.
FrankieDedo

I might be wrong, but the line "To be a hero among other heroes" seems like is delivered by Tom Hiddleston. The voice is clearly different and even in the italian version looks like the voice of the actor that always dubbed Loki in the MCU
ProfessorWhy
ProfessorWhy - 2/12/2024, 5:29 AM
@FrankieDedo - I'm sure this movie will be loaded with references and cameos big and small. The convolutedness will be a part of the story and the jokes...the x-men comics are legendarily all over the place , and that will be applied here as well. Deadpool is the one character that can get away with this and pop the balloon. Pre reset reset
Shivermetimbers
Shivermetimbers - 2/12/2024, 9:19 AM
@FrankieDedo - I don’t understand why they have the tva still out there making changes. I kind of thought the whole point of Loki season 2’s ending was that he is now holding together all the massive amounts of different universes and the tva wouldn’t be necessary.
MyCoolYoung

Shivermetimbers

@MyCoolYoung - That's a really good point. Would be interesting if this movie basically undoes what Loki season 2 did.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 2/12/2024, 3:05 PM
@Shivermetimbers - I don’t think it will. My best guess would be that both this and Loki leads into secret wars so I wouldn’t be surprised by a Loki cameo and Deadpool 3 is happening at the same time god of stories Loki is happening
Deklipz
Deklipz - 2/12/2024, 7:49 PM
@Shivermetimbers - The TVA is still actively wiping Kang variants I thought?
Shivermetimbers
Shivermetimbers - 2/13/2024, 9:15 AM
@Deklipz - You might be right. I really just dont remember. I really liked season 2 of Loki and even liked the end, but I would be lying if I said I understood the consequences of it. It was unclear to me what exactly it all meant.
Deklipz
Deklipz - 2/13/2024, 11:47 AM
@Shivermetimbers - Fair enough, it was just bits and pieces of what they were saying in the last few scenes. I believe they’re hunting down Kang variants and probably other rogue variants that threaten their timelines existence in some way or another.
lazlodaytona

Marvel did exactly what I was hoping in keeping Logan mostly out of the teaser until the final shot. Its best to tease and not give away too much (the mistake Superman v Batman did with showing Doomsday at the end of the trailer during the superbowl. I mean, the 2 biggest, iconic superheroes finally are in the same film and, typical WB, they messed it up. I mean, how do you f**k that up?!).
StSteven
StSteven - 2/12/2024, 10:51 PM
@lazlodaytona - Yeah, exactly (I believe it's called the "Jaws move"). I think that for as much as people want to see DP in the MCU, they want to see Jackman's Wolverine in the MUC even more, ESPECIALLY in a comic accurate costume and playing off of DP. So you don't give the audience the full-on shark up front. No, you tease the shark (or in this case the Wolverine). We all know he coming, just like with "Jaws" where the shark was in the title of the movie AND the damn poster. So it makes sense for Marvel to just tease Wolvie for now making us all waiting with anticipation for the next trailer with him (presumably) fully in it. Smart move Marvel. Smart move.

Thing is the trailer isn't very good. I like the Deadpool films, but I don't think this was a particularly good trailer. And the jokes aren't funny.
