RESULTS: Here's The 2024 Marvel, DC, Or Sony Pictures Movie You Chose As Your Most Anticipated!

We recently asked you to vote for your most highly anticipated 2024 superhero movie, and the results are in! Find out which Marvel Studios, DC, or Sony Pictures Marvel title emerged the vector right here!

As a result of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, there's an awful lot of uncertainty in Hollywood right now. With no end in sight, a number of 2023 movies have already been delayed, while we're expecting at least a few 2024 titles to eventually slip down the calendar if studios don't agree to do the right thing.

However, as things stand, there are 7 Marvel and DC movies to look forward to next year.

Earlier this month, we asked you to cast your votes and decide which of them you're most looking forward to. As things stand, we've seen very little from all of these titles, putting Marvel Studios, DC, and Sony Pictures on an even playing field.

While we expect some of these to potentially slip to 2025, only one major superhero title heading our way next year has been delayed thus far and that's Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. As we're sure you'll recall, the threequel was recently moved from next March to "TBD," meaning it no longer has a confirmed release date.

As a result, that was absent from our poll, leaving Deadpool 3 to emerge the victor with a mighty 62.95% of the vote!

Next up was Joker: Folie à Deux with 15.32%, followed closely by Captain America: Brave New World (13.54%) and - not so closely by - Thunderbolts (3.92%).

It was a significant drop from there, though, with you making it clear Sony's 2024 Marvel offerings aren't getting you at all excited. Closing out the vote were Madame Web (1.66%), Kraven the Hunter (1.54%), and Venom 3 (1.07%). Unfortunately, it seems Morbius did a lot of damage to this brand!

Again, we don't actually know how many of these movies we'll actually get to watch in theaters next year but it's not overly surprising that Deadpool 3 was the clear winner given Hugh Jackman's Wolverine return and Marvel Studios' plans to further explore the MCU's Multiverse.

I dont think Deadpool 3 is going to be based off Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe

@HammerLegFoot - I dont think DP 3 even has a release date right now. Disney officially pulled it off next years calendar and have not announced a new or official release date yet.

So technically Joker 2 is the winner?

I really disliked Spider-Man: no way home and it looks like Deadpool would be same thing.

@MartianManHuntr - Yeah, I'm also disappointed at that.

I was excited at the initial idea of having a Wolverine/deadpool road trip team-up like it was originally pitched.

I don't know if the whole multi verse thing was in the initial pitch or not, but I'm afraid it might be something Disney added as a condition to make the movie.

The hope is that is that Deadpool will mock the idea of multi verse but with Kang still being the main plot of Phase 5 and 6, I doubt it will...

@MartianManHuntr - I liked No Way Home but it did over-rely on the multi-verse gimmick using previous franchise caharacters as opposed to writing a good story. DP3 should still be entertaining but maybe not much in terms of rewatchability.

1. Sad list.
2. Joker has the most potential to be great.
3. Love Deadpool and my boy Wolverine, but I dont know how to feel about Jackmans return. He had a dignified finale and coming back as a played out nostalgia bait. Lame.
4. The rest sucks.

Interesting.
A FOX Marvel movie is first then a DC movie is second.
Lots of people here are living in a closet. 😏

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - lol your copium is hilarious. Mcu is producing this film and making it. Deadpool 3 wouldn't have even happened without fiege.

Take it in. This is absolution.

@Toonstrack - Well the reason why it’s happening is because with Hugh back as Wolvie Disney is hoping to make a billion on this. So that’s why it’s happening. And they are the Fox Marvel characters. Yes made by Disney. Just having some some bro. Have a good one.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Universe is highly anticipated. Visually innovative, with high quality choreography and connections to the Spider-Man mythos. This is gonna be a big hit, but I'm not sure if it's the movie I'm looking most forward to.
Joker and Madame Web have my interest for their casting; I feel like these have the highest ceilings (and highest potential to crash and burn). Cap and Thunderbolts have potential, but I'm worried that they will be bogged down by the problems we've seen in Phase 4/Phase 5.
Venom 3 and Kraven look and sound horrible to me. I gave Venom 2 a chance at the theater because of Carnage/Shriek. I don't plan to make the mistake again.

Deadpool 3 will be the best comic book movie of 2024,then maybe Joker 2.

I just don’t see Joker being a good cbm. It might be a good film for people who like musicals but I think that’ll be a disappointment for a lot of people who enjoyed the first one.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 8/28/2023, 11:35 PM
@slickrickdesigns - The first Joker wasn't a good CBM either.

It could have been about literally anyone else and been just a normal movie. The only thing making it a CBM is is took place in Gotham and had ties to the Waynes. But if you replace the name "Wayne" and set it in New York, the actual movie doesn't change one single bit. It's a movie about a guy that's down on his luck and gets treated like shit until he snaps due to mental problems. It isn't a movie about the Joker we know.
