It's been widely reported that Kyle Chandler and Mackenzie Davis may be up for the roles of Cable and Domino in the Deadpool sequel, and while the whole thing was barely even a rumour to begin with, fans reacted very positively to the news (hence why we even got some awesome fan-art of the latter in the role shortly after the story broke). However, you may want to avoid getting too excited.

Asked in a recent interview with GQ about the possibility of playing Domino, the Halt and Catch Fire star was quick to laugh off the reports that she'll star alongside Ryan Reynolds in the follow-up. "No! [laughs] It’s very interesting. People keep sending me printouts being like, “This is so cool!” And I’m like, “Right? I also think it’s cool! But it’s not true! I mean. I’d love to keep the ruse going. It’s sort of cool that people think I’m doing Deadpool. But no! I don’t have any news to share. I wish I did!"

It remains to be seen whether or not Fox and Deadpool 2 director Tim Miller will take any notice of the postive fan response to Davis possibly playing the character, but it would be a great bit of casting on their part. We'll just have to wait and see, but with no release date set, it could be a while yet.
