Ryan Reynolds Is Reteaming With The Writers Of DEADPOOL 2 To Adapt CLUE

Whodunnit? The Merc with the Mouth, apparently! It's been confirmed today that Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is set to reteam with writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to bring another board game to the big screen. Clue was actually adapted in 1985 but this won't be a remake of that. Instead, it's going to deliver a fresh take on the iconic property which will presumably feature a great deal of humour.

After all, it's hard to imagine it being too serious with a team made up of Reynolds, Reese, and Wernick, and that's no bad thing. After all, board game adaptations have always been very hit and miss and it's much smarter taking a tongue in cheek approach to something like this than not. The movie comes as part of a deal Reynolds has made with Fox to keep his production company Maximum Effort at the studio in a three-year first-look deal (which will presumably transfer to Disney one day).

Reynolds has an exciting couple of years ahead with both Deadpool 2 and Detective Pikachu on the horizon. Are you excited for this fresh take on Clue? Let us know your thoughts in the usual place.
