If you haven't seen the big screen outing of the "Merc with a mouth" yet, what are you waiting for?

If you have, and you're like me, you know that the movie itself was great and was an amazing introduction of the character to the masses. But looking back on ityou may also feel like it was a little....tame. They stuck to the usual, cliche' story ine of the good guy killing all the bad guys to end up witht the girl at the end. It was a very good take on this traditional  plot and very entertaining, but Deadpool as a charcter did feel little watered down.

The fouth wall breaking was pretty subtle at times and the average viewer probably didn't catch most of them. The fight scenes, with the exception of a few hilarious moments were pretty run-of-the-mill. The effects, while very good, aren't enough to carry any movie.

This is why I am proposing...DEADPOOL 3.  That's right, skip right over the obligatory DP2 and go right into 3.  I'm suggesting this for several reasons:

1) It's totally in keeping with the marketing strategy of the first movie- it is an easy way to mess with people and...

2) It allows the movie to jump right into the crazier side of DP such as wackier 4th wall breaking, the numerous, conflicting inner monolauges, even funnier sight-gags... going straight to DP3 opens the door for the chacter to be a much truer representation of the way he is in the comics.

3) It lets the character drop some of the cliche' elements that were necessary in the first outing.  I'm not hating on Morena Baccarin or the chacter she played, but one of the things I wasn't so thrilled about was the love story. I know why it was in there, and I know that it was necessary, but it was a bit of a boat anchor on allowing the real DP loose on screen.

Going into DP3, we can pick up after Vanessa is already gone (maybe she's kidnapped, maybe she left Wade, maybe she's dead) and Wade is at his absolute lowest point yet; he has a complete psychological break and goes insane letting the REAL DP come out for the first time.

Through the first act, Wade flashes back a couple times and reveals what has happened since the end of the first movie. After he has completely descended into crazy town, Cable teleports in and tells him they have to go save the world.  Perhaps Wade even thinks Cable is a hallucination for a while.  Maybe there's even a scene where Joel, Crowe and Tom Servo sit down in thh front row and start heckling Wade as he tries to wrap his fractured mind around what Cable is explaining to him until Wade finally pulls out his desert eagle and blows them all to kingdom come.

It won't be the DP movie we deserve, but it would be the DP movie we need.
