The first full trailer for the upcoming live-action remake of Disney's animated classic Aladdin was released a couple of weeks ago, and the response was significantly more positive than it was for our first official look at Will Smith's Genie in his blue form.

Now, we have an international one-sheet which gives us a new look at the jovial Genie looking on as Jasmine (Naomi Scott) and Aladdin (Mena Massoud) prepare to embark on their magic carpet ride.

What do you guys think? Does this poster transport you to a whole new world?

A thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic, “Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future. Directed by Guy Ritchie, who brings his singular flair for fast-paced, visceral action to the fictitious port city of Agrabah, “Aladdin” is written by John August and Ritchie based on Disney’s “Aladdin.”

Aladdin hits theaters on May 24, 2019.

So lets take a closer look at this poster.

First, it looks like Aladdin is holding up the magic carpet with his hand. Poor design.

Second, damn that moon looks as large as it did a couple billion or so years ago! With the moon that close, the world would be going through some pretty extreme tidal events. Which kind of looks like what is going on actually because they did a poor job with Aladdin's blue 'mist' which looks like a giant wave.

Third, look at the horizon. On the left side, we see water. But if you look to the right side of Aladdin and carry the water line over, well a good chunk of the city is below!!

My take on this poster: Looks like the extremely close moon has caused a gravitational tidal wave that is taking out the town. But Aladdin gives zero shits about all the people that will die from the tidal wave, as he mesmerizingly holds up the carpet and stares at the two lovers. What a poster!!

@HeavyMetal4Life - international posters tend to be sloppy don’t know why

@HeavyMetal4Life -
For someone who spent so much time criticizing the poster you would think you would realize you called the Genie ... Aladdin about 20 times

@HeavyMetal4Life - The genie's holding up the carpet (not Aladdin), which is probably intentional as it works thematically/metaphorically or whatever. It's the desert on the left side, not the sea - and whose to say the bottom left and bottom right are connected anyway, it's a poster. The blue-genie-mist is fine as it's an artisic poster and isn't meant to look realistic The moon being large is fine, it's a poster, and one set within a world of wish-granting magic at that..

I love you man, but it just seems like you're hating for the sake of hating.

No. If you look to the left, we see the sand in the desert. The is no ocean on that poster at all.

Poster is kinda cartoonish, and I kinda like that. Its amazing how much I've flipped on my initial reaction to this movie. Up until that last trailer it was full cringe, but that last trailer was so on point it flipped me completely. Now I'm down, I see the potential, I see the light at the end of the tunnel of what the finished product could be.

I'm interested.

Genie actually looks pretty good when he's not naked. Maybe a shirt is all he ever needed.

Will this have Guy Ritchie's trademark filmmaking style with his snap zooms and jump cuts and slo-mo analytical fight scenes?

Will this be like his other movies such as Man From UNCLE, Sherlock Holmes, King Arthur and Snatch?

How on earth did Guy RItchie get this gig to direct from Disney?
