According to Fandango, it looks like Disney's remake of Beauty and the Beast is set to be a true monster at the box office. The online ticket seller has reported that presales have exceeded films like Captain America: Civil War and previous record holder, Finding Dory.

“Beauty is a beast in presales, and I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people,” Fandango managing editor Erik Davis told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s looking bigger than most Disney live-action adaptations, like The Jungle Book, Cinderella, or Maleficent. Its presales rival those of a superhero movie.” Deadline reported last month that the film could open to $120 million when it releases on March 17, 2017.

In addition, we also have a scene from the film, which is an extended version of last week's clip of the Beast (Dan Stevens) "cordially" inviting Belle (Emma Watson) to dinner. Check it out below and let us know what you think!

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Hopefully it's good. I liked the original, but I don't find the trailers that interesting.

@Valdez - It's because Beast doesn't look real or interesting. They gave him a humanoid face and his CGI seems too CG. They should have blended practical effects with CGI for Beast the way they did Beast in Xmen first class.

@SonOfAGif - That's a good point. I would've preferred it iif he was more... beastly.

@Valdez - Exactly. This is what flawed Lizard in The amazing Spiderman. Sacrificing what made the character unique to express emotion on a face. Beast is supposed to look ferocious regardless of his expressions.

If the film is as big as projected, it should give DISNEY the confidence to be bold and eventually adapt the live action Beauty and the Beast into a Pixar Animated Film in 2030.
