The Jungle Book is an upcoming American live-action/CGI film directed by Jon Favreau, written by Justin Marks, and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The film's executive producers are Molly Allen, Karen Gilchrist, Peter M. Tobyanse. Music will be written by John Debney.

The Jungle Book also stars Neel Sethi as Mowgli, Emjay Anthony as Grey Brother, and Bill Murray as Baloo. The movie hits theaters April 15, 2016.

but honestly all i've seen is that whistling bit of Bare/Bear Necessities in the one trailer.

No music and im into this about as much as the Golden Compass.

He's not an orangutan in this. He's actually an extinct animal called a gigantopithecus. Which I think that's a nice change for the character since orangutans live nowhere near India whatsoever.

King Louie is one of those characters you really need to have the right person for, and I think they got it completely right. it's different enough from the cartoon, but still has that feel of a cool, but somewhat dangerous character. I love it.

@Rockbottom - And that's exactly why they're using the Gigantopithecus!! So haters can hate, but this is actually closer to what was around in India at the time.
