With D23 Expo 2019 right around the corner, Disney continues to outline the various panels and exhibits that will be on display at the convention. With
The Mandalorian and
various Marvel Studios surprises already confirmed, Disney today unveiled its plans for its streaming services: Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+.
The Disney+ First Look Showcase promises an exclusive preview of the numerous projects that will be coming to the streaming service this November and beyond. This includes
"never-before-seen content, surprise guests, performances, and reveals" for the films and series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. The panel will also feature a first look at
Lady and the Tramp,
The Mandalorian, and
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
In addition to the Disney+ First Look Showcase there will also be a Disney+ Pavilion on the Expo show floor. This will offer guests demonstrations of the live Disney+ app across mobile devices and TVs. Costumes and props from the Disney+ Originals will also be on display. And finally, there will be the opportunity to subscribe to the service, but D23 mentions a "special offer" that will be available exclusively to Expo attendees and D23 members.
They didn't elaborate what this special offer will be, but it sounds like it could be some sort of access to a beta or preview program.
And throughout the weekend, the Disney+ Pavilion Stage will feature three days worth of panels that highlight the services originals.
