For those hoping the spirit of the original show would be maintained in Disney XD's upcoming reboot of the animated series
Ducktales, which itself was
adapted from the popular Carl Banks comics featuring Uncle Scrooge McDuck, then hopefully the latest news on the show will answer any questions you have. This is because Disney XD has released six clips showcasing the new cast in their latest incarnation, as well as the opening sequence for the new show, which retains a tune fans may find very familiar.
The series will debut in a one-hour movie on
August 12th, airing in a straight loop for 24 hours that entire day, later followed by a regular series release starting
September 23rd.
There's also this older video, which revealed the new cast of the show, including Marvel's Jessica Jones star David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck.
What do you think of these previews? Does this live up to the expectations of versions past? Does it seem cheap cash grab for the sake of nostalgia, and fall short?
