Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson In Talks To Voice A Demigod In Disney's MOANA
CBM fave Dwayne Johnson will provide the voice for the Demigod known as Maui, who is one of the main characters in Dsney's next CG-animated adventure, Moana
The Wrap report that former WWE champ Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in talks to voice a character called Maui in Moana, which is Disney's next CG-animated comedy-adventure from The Little Mermaid team of Ron Clements and John Musker. Maui is described as "a demi-god who aids a young girl on a nautical adventure." Johnson hasn't done that much voice-work, his only other credit being 2009's Planet 51. According to the site, an actress for the main character of Moana is still being sought. Below is an official promo image and synopsis for the movie.
Moana is set in the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania. Moana, a born navigator, searches for a fabled island and her incredible journey teams with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, as they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore.
