Disney has shared an action-packed new trailer for Jungle Cruise, and it offers a fun, exciting sneak peek at what we can expect from the movie that's inspired by the famous Disneyland theme park ride.

This live-action adventure is described as a rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Lily travels from London, England to the Amazon jungle and enlists Frank’s questionable services to guide her downriver on La Quila - his ramshackle-but-charming boat. Lily is determined to uncover an ancient tree with unparalleled healing abilities - possessing the power to change the future of medicine.

Thrust on this epic quest, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest. But as the secrets of the lost tree unfold, the stakes reach even higher for Lily and Frank and their fate - and mankind’s - hangs in the balance.

Jaume Collet-Serra (Black Adam) directs Jungle Cruise, which also stars Edgar Ramírez and Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.

The story is by John Norville & Josh Goldstein and Glenn Ficarra & John Requa, and the screenplay was written by Michael Green and Glenn Ficarra & John Requa. Jungle Cruise is set to be released in theaters and on Disney+ (for $29.99 on Premier Access) on July 30, 2021.

Looks exactly what I expected from a Disney ride. Looks like it could be fun, especially Plemons' character looks like it can elevate the story.

Glad they already showed the magical/supernatural stuff, because otherwise I think I wouldn't have loved the surprise as much.

Also, that's a cool poster

The trio dynamic from 'The Mummy' mixed with 'Indiana Jones' setting and 'PotC' formula.
Sounds like fun

I can’t tell if that was awesome or if it’s just that Creedence is awesome.

I expect this to be totally forgettable.

I expect Creedence to be recognised as kickass for yet another 50 years. Long live Creedence.

Dwayne Johnson is generally likable in everything he does, and this looks like a nice fun romp. I am in. And I agree that the poster art kicks butt. It's cool that they went with a Drew Struzan clone for the art. I wonder who did the art, because I would like to check out more of their art.
