Disney has released a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious first look at Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow, The Girl on the Train) as the returning Mary Poppins, making her way back to Cherry Tree Lane...
Disney (via EW) has debuted the first offcial image from their upcoming sequel to the 1964 classic, Mary Poppins Returns.
The follow-up will feature the ageless magical nanny (this time played by Emily Blunt) making her way back to Cherry Tree Lane to visit with the now adult Jane and Michael Banks (Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw) after the latter suffers a personal loss.
The pic provides a teasing first glimpse of Blunt as Poppins, whose updated outfit has a very Agent Carter look to it.
The all-star cast of Mary Poppins Returns also includes Angela Lansbury, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Meryl Streep, Colin Firth, and Julie Walters. Plus, Dick Van Dyke is expected to make a featured appearance as Bert. The sequel is set to fly into theaters on Dec. 25, 2018.
