Disney is hitting their stride with live action remakes of their animated classics; their latest film, Beauty and the Beast, is on track to follow in the footsteps of The Jungle Book as a box office hit. However, many have questioned why Disney is bothering to remake the movie at all, considering the original was an Oscar-winning classic.

In a new featurette, director Bill Condon, (along with Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, and other cast members) address this concern, along with showing some behind-the-scenes footage and new shots from the film. Check it out below, and let us know your thoughts in the comments!

Beauty and the Beast invites you to theaters on March 17, 2017.

Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

It comes down to this, if I had a kid and had to choose to show them the original or this, I would always pick the original.

Whoever decided to cast Emma Watson as a woman supposed to incarnate absolute beauty needs to stop smoking crystal meth. She's cute at best, and despite being 26, she looks 16. Not saying she's not a decent actress, even though there is no way to really tell since she's only acted in 3 movies since Harry Potter, none of them good, even Noah, just saying she's yet another casting decision I don't really understand.
