The first teaser trailer for Disney & director Marc Forster's live-action reimagining of Winnie the Pooh is now online. Find out what happens when Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor) grows up after the jump.

On the furry paws of yesterday's poster, Disney has debuted the first teaser trailer for Christopher Robin.

The Marc Forster-helmed movie will follow an older, more cynical Christopher (Ewan McGregor) as he rediscovers the joy of his childhood by meeting back up with Winnie The Pooh and the rest of his stuffed toy pals from The Hundred Acre Wood.

Here, we see Robin going through a crisis of concience when he's visisted by an old honey-loving friend.

The live-action adventure also stars Agent Carter's Haley Atwell, and will feature the voices of voices of Jim Cummings, Chris O’Dowd, Nick Mohammed, Brad Garrett, Peter Capaldi, Sophie Okonedo and Toby Jones.

Christopher Robin is set to hit theaters on August 3. Check out the teaser below, and let us know what you think in the comments.

@BeyondtheFuture - there is something so strangely comforting and pure when it comes to Winnie the Pooh. Just the voice. I have high hopes for this one.

Not sure about a lot of you here but I’m glad these live action movies are being made. It means I get to spend an extra hour or two with my kids and experience the joy with them when they see these for the first time.

If the movie isn’t for you then fair enough too😊

I was skeptical about the premise, but I quite like the tone of this initial teaser... and Jim Cummings vocal work just grabs at the heart after all these years.

@Chewtoy - Ya that teaser just felt right and I hope it is the same throughout the movie. Right off the bat the teaser is going good because it has a timeless feel to it. No pop culture reference, no current day jargon,no cynical character, no bodily function humor. SO MANY of these live action movie adaptation have the rude crude too cool for school version of the characters or go for stupid bottom level humor to distract the kids. I am getting Paddington vibes from the teaser not Alvin and the Chipmunk vibes.

Also yes hearing the voice of Jim Cummings does bring back the childhood memories.
