DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS: Brutal Scarlet Witch Deleted Scene Revealed In Stunt Video

A newly revealed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stunt video shows a deleted scene from the movie featuring the Scarlet Witch brutally dispatching the sorcerers at Kamar-Taj. Check it out!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was a PG-13 movie, but filmmaker Sam Raimi still pushed the boundaries. The Scarlet Witch definitely unleashed her powers in a brutal way, making short work of the sorcerers at Kamar-Taj and even the formidable members of The Illuminati.

Now, a newly revealed stunt video shows performers rehearsing a violent scene that, unfortunately, didn't make it into the movie.

The Scarlet Witch is shown breaking bones, slicing people down, and even puppeteering a decapitated body to fight off her attackers. We think Marvel Studios might have been able to find a way to pull this off, but it might not have sat well with the censors! After all, there's a lot of blood here and a body without a head fighting might have been too much for the MCU.

The Doctor Strange sequel ended with Wanda Maximoff seemingly being buried alive after using her powers to destroy every copy of the Darkhold across the Multiverse. That flash of red was a strong hint she survived, though, and we're sure the character will be key to future stories in The Multiverse Saga.

There had been rumours Marvel Studios planned to announce a Scarlet Witch Disney+ TV series at D23, but it didn't materialise. We could see the character factoring into Agatha: House of Harkness, though there's a good chance Wanda's return is being saved for either Avengers: The Kang Dynasty or Avengers: Secret Wars.

Going back to this deleted scene, the choreography is amazing and we definitely appreciate the work that went into this...even if it didn't make it into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Check out this brutal behind-the-scenes video from the sequel below along with our recent conversation with America Chavez herself, Xochitl Gomez.

A shame, but this scene alone was an instant R rating.

I like how he says "even the formidable illuminati" as if we have any context for this group in terms of power (outside of powerscaling them to the mcu, which doesn't work anyway since captain marvel was killed by a statue).

@Origame - Charles alone could've turned Wanda's brain into melted icecream...

@TheHumanSpider2 - I hated that in the movie. The mind scape should've been where Charles shined.

@Origame - Wanda taking down Captain Marvel so easily...ok, maybe, but CHARLES XAVIER getting killed in 10 seconds? in a mind battle!?

@Origame -

She absorbed Captain Marvel’s energy and basically took her powers, that’s why she died crushed by a statue.
It’s obvious if you watch the scene

@MisterDoctor217 - really don't see where you're getting she absorbed her energy here.

Dude come on 😆

As they’re both hovering mid air, Wanda’s energy bends towards her and you can see her red energy creeping on to her body and even her face mask gets destroyed as she’s absorbing her powers until it creates an explosion

@MisterDoctor217 - dude, that's her energy beam pushing captain Marvel's energy beam away. It's a classic beam struggle. Have you never seen dragon ball z?

Watch closely

@MisterDoctor217 - dude, I'm watching that very closely. Nothing about this is suggesting she's absorbing the energy. If you want that as your headcanon, fine. But that doesn't mean that's what's happening.

There's no way Raimi could have thought he'd actually be able to get away with this lol.

There’s always a way around it if they really wanted to. Take Thor love and thunder for example. My brother took his seven and eight year-old to see that one in the theater. They had a huge fight scene where they have gold rushing blood which was a bit much, IMO, but since it was gold I guess they can get away with it. Not to mention my sister-in-law couldn’t believe how many times they actually said the word shit in that movie. I thought they used to have a limit on the times you can say those things but apparently they changed it and they really push the envelope on it there. Yes I get it they’re a bit young for that and it is PG-13, but I guarantee you she wasn’t the only one that was shocked either.

To me, those two things are a bit more than Coulson getting stabbed in the heart during the first avengers movie, which initially got it an R rating. But they found a way around it there too.
