DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Fan-Edit Adds Deadpool To The Illuminati And It Is Amazing

A genius new video edits Deadpool into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and takes the movie down a very different route as the Merc with the Mouth lends The Illuminati a helping hand...

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' most brutal sequence, the Scarlet Witch possessed her Earth-838 counterpart and proceeded to obliterate that world's Illuminati.

After murdering Professor X, Mister Fantastic, Captain Carter, Black Bolt, and Captain Marvel, Wanda Maximoff continued her pursuit of Doctor Strange and America Chavez, but what if The Illuminati had a helping hand from Deadpool? The hope among fans had been that the Merc with the Mouth might make his MCU debut in the movie, only for it to never happen.

Well, this clever fan-edit inserts Wade Wilson into the Doctor Strange sequel and shows him sneak up on the Scarlet Witch before brutally murdering the Avenger with one of his trusty katanas. That's bad news for the innocent Wanda possessed by the MCU's Variant, but The Illuminati would have been saved.

In many ways, it was a missed opportunity not having Deadpool enter the MCU in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. However, as that movie established that a Variant entering another reality can cause an incursion, it's still unclear how the Merc will be able to make this world a permanent home (unless the plan is simply to reboot the character, of course).

Deadpool 3 is currently in the works, so we'll hopefully learn more soon. In the meantime, this is a fun glimpse at what could be on the way when Ryan Reynolds gets to interact with the heroes and villains from the MCU.

Check out Deadpool's unofficial MCU debut in the video below:

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now playing in theaters. It's now available on Digital platforms and Disney+, and hits Blu-ray, 4k Ultra HD, and DVD on July 26.

For reals … that’s pretty good. If they added the shadow of DP when he was sneaking up then it’d be legendary.

It would've made a LOT more sense (and logic!). We wouldn't have to suffer through that long running on feet chasing scene when Scarlet Witch could've easily killed them from far away without even moving her pinky finger. 🥱😴

@TheOtherOn - But Wanda wanted to kill America?

Kills an innocent woman with two children. Not the end of the film.

@RealTurner - She was possessed, not many options there.

Pretty damn good except that the credits say “written by Michael Waldron” and Waldron would have never written anything that good.

@SpaceParanoids - Dude made Loki Season 1, and previously wrote for Rick and Morty.

@asherman93 - So my choices are a child’s cartoon or a boring show that neutered Loki and screwed up the multiverse.

"...it was a missed opportunity not having Deadpool enter the MCU in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness."

The film seemed a bit too serious to have Deadpool in it.

@LSHF - Plus I'm pretty sure MoM was a glimpse of what's coming next multiverse-wise.

Deadpool and Waititi's Thor belong together. And not with anyone else. They are live-action cartoons that don't match any tone that Feige has worked so hard to create.
