Marvel Studios has released an IMAX version of the most recent trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and while it doesn't seem to contain any new footage, it does provide another opportunity to watch the mind-bending teaser unfold in 4K quality with an expanded aspect ratio.

The format also allows us to get a clearer look at that powerful Variant (most likely another version of Captain Marvel) doing battle with The Scarlet Witch, and while we don't really get to see any more of the mysterious figure addressing Strange, Patrick Stewart has already confirmed that it's him standing (well, sitting) just out of shot as the returning Charles Xavier.

The Doctor Strange sequel releases in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022.
