As far as we know, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness officially finished filming back in April, but it looks like some of the crew have been working on reshoots, as a new social media post confirms that the Marvel sequel has only now fully wrapped production.
Hairstylist Tricia Sawyer took to Instagram to share a new behind-the-scenes photo from the makeup room, with the caption "We’re not so Strange anymore! That’s a wrap." We have no idea what these reshoots entailed, but Scarlet Witch was clearly involved, as Elizabeth Olsen can be seen smiling along with her "Glam Squad" in the pic.
We still don't know exactly how Wanda Maximoff will factor into the plot, but after the events of WandaVision, there's a lot of speculation that the now mega-powerful Avenger will serve as an antagonist to the Sorcerer Supreme - at least until the inevitable final act team-up to face a larger threat!
Plot details for Doctor Strange 2 are still under wraps, but the title obviously suggests that the alternate reality-spanning Multiverse will play a big part. Benedict Cumberbatch will return as the Master of the Mystic Arts, and he'll be joined by Benedict Wong as Wong, Rachel McAdams as Dr. Christine Palmer, and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo.
Xochitl Gomez is also set to make her debut as America Chavez, and there's a rumor doing the rounds that a familiar face from Fox's Marvel franchise will be putting in an appearance.
Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness is set to hit theaters on March 25, 2022.
