DEADPOOL Star Ryan Reynolds Couldn't Be Any More Suspicious While Fielding DOCTOR STRANGE Sequel Rumors

The full video of Ryan Reynolds being questioned about possibly returning as Deadpool in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has surfaced, and it definitely appears the actor is hiding something...

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is expected to feature a lot of cameos, but will Ryan Reynolds' Merc with the Mouth be among them? If Deadpool is going to be pulled through the Multiverse and into the MCU as the same Variant of the character who starred in two hit R-Rated adventures, then this is the ideal movie to make it happen.

We recently brought you an interview with Reynolds in which he denied any sort of participation in the Doctor Strange sequel, but the full video provides a little more context.

As you can see, the actor stumbles over his words, basically admitting he isn't supposed to say anything before denying that Wade Wilson will show up in Sam Raimi's movie. Reynolds looks shifty as hell throughout, and if we had to hazard a guess, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will finally bring this fan-favourite hero into the MCU.

That would line up with a lot of recent rumours, of course, and probably bodes well for Deadpool 3 happening sooner rather than later. While that threequel has writers, there's no word on a director (though we're sure Marvel Studios has already begun talks with filmmakers).

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released on May 6. Deadpool 3 remains undated.

If he was wouldn’t it be cooler to find out while watching the movie?

@suitekid - I was just thinking this. At least don't put stuff like this in the headlines so we can try and be surprised when the film comes out.

Most of these interviewers make it their job to make the actors feel uncomfortable anyway.

While my idea for "Deadpool vs. Wolverine" as a final goodbye to the X-Men franchise that ends with Wolverine sacrificing himself for "his" universe against the Beyonder and Deadpool is accidentally thrown into the MCU timeline as a result is obviously more on my lane for "how" to get Deadpool into the MCU I do like the idea of Deadpool being dragged into the MCU through DS2

If he us in the movie, I think it'll be a cameo during Strange's falling through multiverses sequence (similar to Stan Lee's cameo in Guardians 2).

But really, I think Reynolds is messing with us. He's not in it, but he's gonna play denying it like he is.

Anyone who has ever played a Marvel character will probably be asked questions like this for the rest of their careers (or very least as long as the Multiverse is a major plot-element of the MCU).

He’s probably “Not” in the movie just like he said, because Deadpool is CG in the movie and not him in the actual suit. Therefore he’s telling the truth…from a certain point of view.

It’s only Bc of Spider-Man that these questions and interviews will be analyzed more with a magnifying glass. No Way Home was a one off for now. Even tho Dr. Strange will have sick cameos, i think we are reaching now.

If I had to guess, I’d guess that while Strange is tumbling through the different realities they are going to show shards of all of the different Marvel movie realities (Fox, Universal, What if?, etc.) and some will be quick glimpses and others (the ones that they want to pull from) they will linger on, like Deadpool’s. Then during a post-credits scene we will see Deadpool being spit out from a portal into the MCU and he turns around and sees something recognizable from the MCU (like Avengers Tower with the Avengers logo being removed) and says “What the fu-?” . Imagine if while he’s saying that over his shoulder we see that the Avengers symbol is being replaced by a “4”. Just for a second. The only downside to that would be the fact I think a lot of areas wouldn’t have the EMT staff on hand to deal with the sheer amount of exploding heads that this would result in 😉
