We found out that tickets for Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness were set to go on sale today via last week's teaser, and you can now officially book your seat for Sam Raimi's highly-anticipated sequel.

We were hoping for a new trailer to accompany the announcement, but there's no sign just yet. However, we do have a suitably trippy new IMAX poster featuring the (former) Sorcerer Supreme, the Scarlet Witch and several other supporting characters (there may even be a Variant or two in there!), along with a featurette spotlighting interview snippets with stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Xochitl Gomez, and Benedict Wong.

Check out the poster and video below, and stay tuned for a lot more Multiverse Madness!

In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron.

The Doctor Strange sequel releases in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2022.

@PantherKing - I went onto the actual site for the theater and that worked without issue. Fandango kept having confirmation issues for me.

An actual good poster? Never thought I’d see one.

@TheSuperMex - To be fair, Marvel has had it's fair share of decent posters. It's mostly Sony that's shitting the bed with posters for Spidey and Morbius.

@TheSuperMex - What's with the question?

Almost every poster for MCU projects this year has been 🔥🔥🔥 so far

Managed to get mine for late Thursday screening, keeping up with the tradition. WandaVision was my favorite piece of Marvel content last year, a top-tier MCU experience. Loki came in close and Waldron has me sold on anything he touches. Cumberbatch and Olsen are probably the best actors in the MCU currently (tho that's only because Ali has only had a voice cameo thus far). This is exactly right up my alley. We're in for some drama. Strange and Wanda are already complex and I can't wait for more layers to unfold. And the Raimi style is all over, as if all that wasn't enough.

We're in for peak fiction.

Got tickets for me and my girlfriend. Farthest back, dead center for a IMAX showing on the 5th. Surprisingly easy. No lag, and it took me about three minutes. Definitely a breeze compared to getting tickets for No Way Home.

I used fandango
No issues
But I got my tickets 5 mins after they became available. Shockingly half the seats were gone for the IMAX showing.

Got three 3D tickets for wednesday, may 4th 20:30 in Germany. That's between 6 and 8 hours earlier than US time.

The earliest showtime would have been at 14:00 but that's not in 3D and i have to work till 16:00.

The cinema has listed a runtime of 132 minutes, but german picture ratio is a little slower than US, so it should be 130 minutes US runtime, not 126.
