DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Promo Art Reveals A Closer Look At The Sorcerer's Variants

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness promises to take us on a wild ride, and some new promo art from the movie has now been revealed. These standees should start arriving in stores imminently and offer a closer look at Stephen Strange's mysterious Variants (well, two of them, anyway).

We see the Strange that appears to be the "Supreme" Variant from What If...? along with Defender Strange, a take on the character who is believed to be a little more heroic in nature.

Elsewhere, we see the Scarlet Witch, America Chavez, Rintrah, Master Mordo (also believed to be a Variant rather than the one we met in 2016's Doctor Strange), and Sorcerer Supreme Wong. We're anticipating seeing many more characters than this in the sequel, of course, but they're likely to be kept under wraps until much closer to when it arrives in theaters later this year.

In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Marvel Cinematic Universe unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. We'll journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

The movie's cast includes Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. The film is directed by Sam Raimi, and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Loki Head Writer Michael Waldron.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6.

I hope there's a Bronco Henry cameo in this.

Honestly, the the what-if version of Dr Strange (I refuse to call it a variant) and the one from this movie don't even look similar.

With absolutely nothing to go by other than the images we've all seen, I'm going to go ahead and say that Rintrah is either going to be the "Korg" of this movie or a complete badass. I'm cool either way.

@StSteven - By which I mean that he might be providing some (presumably) much needed levity in a movie that is looking to be pretty serious overall, OR he might be the badass man-bull that we never knew we needed. Again, I'm cool either way :)
