Lionsgate announced that a film adaptation of Catching Fire will be released November 22, 2013, as a sequel to the film adaptation of The Hunger Games, which was released March 23, 2012.

Lionsgate has announced the film's November 22, 2013 release date with principal photography to take place in summer/fall 2012. The shooting timeframe was co-ordinated between Lionsgate and Fox, in order to allow time for star Jennifer Lawrence to shoot the sequel to Fox's X-Men: First Class in January 2013.

On April 10, 2012, it was announced that Gary Ross, the director of The Hunger Games, would not return due to a 'tight' and 'fitted' schedule. On April 19, 2012, it was announced that Francis Lawrence was offered the director position for the film. According to sources, the adaptation must be done filming by December 2012 to fit Jennifer Lawrence's schedule. Lionsgate officially announced Francis Lawrence as the director for Catching Fire on May 3, 2012. Two days later, it was reported that Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3, Little Miss Sunshine) is in talks to re-write the script for Catching Fire. On May 24, 2012, the film was renamed The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Since wtf did Hunger Games become a comic book movie? FAIL. The movies are a complete rip off of Battle Royale anyway, and that film is 10,000 times better.

Didn't like the 3rd. REALLY didnt like it. It felt pointless & had random pointless violence for NO reason.
But I liked the 2nd a lot. I like Finnick, hope this guy does him justice:)

---SPOILER---

I felt reading the third book was a waste of time, from half way through book 2 through all the way to the end of book 3 was all about wanting to kill Snow, and then you have the chance and everybody was wanting you to kill him so you can have your revenge... AND THEN you use your last aarow to kill Coin... I know it was predictable either way but seriously if you were going to do that, why didn't you Shoot Snow, then rip out the aarow and then Shoot Coin... that way we would have been all I thought she was going to kill coin then BAM! shoots coin in the left tit.

Either way I was so pissed off at the third book, it honestly made no sense and the fact that they are going to be stretching that out into a 2 part movie annoys the hell out of me. IT IS THE SAME THING THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MOVIE!

Great pick for Finnick.

But surely you can find a more mischievous photo of Sam Claflin. This is the Hunger Games we're talking about. This isn't 90210.
