Captain Jack Sparrow's latest adventure, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, might just be one of his most dangerous yet as he navigates the Seven Seas to elude a fate worse than death, promised to him by the notorious Captain Salazar.

The word out of CinemaCon, where the film screened in full, a few weeks back was pretty great with many comparing it favorably to the 2003 original Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, which should be welcome news for fans of the long-running series.

Johnny Depp returns to his Academy Award-nominated role and is joined by a number of familiar faces from the franchise, including Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, and Kevin McNally as well as new additions like Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, and Kaya Scodelario

Sorry jack but black sails takes the cake for the best pirate related series, especially after that final episode. I think that was probably the best final series I have seen outside of breaking bad.

This franchise and Transformers seem to make all the money without me.

I'll keep it that way.
