Last week's episode of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power concluded with Galadriel, Halbrand and the Númenóreans setting sail for Middle-earth to come to the aid of the people of the Southlands, but will they arrive in time?

Prime Video has now shared an action-packed clip from Friday's new episode, and it finds Bronwyn and the Southlanders under siege by Adar and his army. We see Arondir take out a few Orcs before coming face-to-face with a massive chieftain, who proceeds to toss the Elf around like a ragdoll.

Of more interest are the new promo stills, some of which contain pretty significant spoilers. There's nothing too major (we knew we'd see it eventually, after all), but if you'd rather not know how the episode concludes, we'd give them a miss!

Check out the sneak peek below and images, and keep an eye out for our recaps late tomorrow night after the episode airs.

Amazon Studios’ forthcoming series brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history. This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.

Beginning in a time of relative peace, the series follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. From the darkest depths of the Misty Mountains, to the majestic forests of the elf-capital of Lindon, to the breathtaking island kingdom of Númenor, to the furthest reaches of the map, these kingdoms and characters will carve out legacies that live on long after they are gone.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power stars Morfydd Clark, Benjamin Walker, Charles Edwards, Charlie Vickers, Markella Kavenagh, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Tyroe Muhafidin, Maxim Baldry, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Owain Arthur, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Leon Wadham, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.

I hate the Elf combat in this. Not every elf was broken in PJs LOTR it was simply Legolas Prince of Mirkwood who would occasionally pull a crazy move. All this Don Lemmon elf does is do spin kicks. It's cringe af.

I thought this week's set-up episode where nothing really happens, was better than Andor's set-up episode where nothing really happens.

Trying to stay positive with this thing but the further they stray from the source canon, the more difficult it is to continue justifying Bezos’ ego dump.

Loved when Galadriel was told that it was extremely important to recover that broken Sauron sword and how after defeating that bad elf guy she didn't even check if the sword was under the rags.
