We are still about a month away from the premiere of Starz and Bryan Fuller's (Hannibal) television adaptation of Neil Gaiman's best-selling novel of the same name, American Gods, and in order to get fans ready for the show, Fuller has released 10 unique new character posters.

The colorful character banners showcase the pantheon of the Old Gods and the New Gods, featuring Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), Laura Moon (Emily Browning), Bilquis (Yetide Badaki), Mr. Nancy (Orlando Jones), Mad Sweeney (Pablo Schreiber), Technical Boy (Bruce Langley), Easter (Kristin Chenoweth), Czernobog (Peter Stormare), and Mr. World (Crispin Glover).

American Gods premieres Sunday, April 30 at 9:00 P.M.

When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew. Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life. Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand. It’s a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost. As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it.

There's no one I'm dying to see more than Crispin Glover.

Peter stormare is awsome. Dude is great in all his movies. He was a great lucifer and he was great in fargo and the big lebowski. The nerd in me has always wanted him to play the red ghost in a mcu fantastic four.

The book is one of Gaiman's best in my opinion. 2nd hat to Sandman. However, I could be biased. I'm interested to see how close they stay to the source material, but this looks very close to their representations.

Has anyone heard Neil Gaiman's voice? The dude has the voice of a King from the middle ages. After listening to his audiobook on Norse Mytholgy for a few minutes, I now want him to do narration for any and all future Thor films.

Starz has been making some great shows recently. Between shows like this and Outlander I can see HBO having some competition going forward.

Wow, I had no idea Crispin Glover was playing Mr. World. That's great casting. I really liked the book, but I thought the third act could've been better. Hopefully the show can fix that.
