The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes looks set to tell the story of a young President Snow, meaning it takes place decades before Katniss Everdeen was born.

Despite that, rumours have persisted that Jennifer Lawrence will make a cameo appearance in the prequel, something she was quick to debunk during a recent appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live (via SFFGazette.com).

With the action set to play out 49 years prior to the events of The Hunger Games, the fan who submitted the question suggested Lawrence could play Katniss' grandmother. "Oh, 'cause I'm 49 in Hollywood years, huh?" the actress quipped before adding, "No, that's not true."

Even after Lawrence recently expressed an interest in one day returning as Katniss, we're not exactly surprised by these comments. However, this interview also gave her the opportunity to shoot down another big rumour which has circulated on social media in recent months.

There have long been claims that Lawrence and her The Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth had a fling, with the latter's ex-wife, Miley Cyrus, adding fuel to the fire a few months ago in her "Flowers" music video (we know, we know...).

In that, the singer was shown wearing a gold dress similar to the one Lawrence wore to a premiere alongside Hemsworth in 2012. The internet being the internet, this was taken as apparent "confirmation" he'd cheated on Cyrus with the Katniss actress.

To that theory, Lawrence simply responded, "Not true. Not true, total rumor. We all know Liam and I, like, kissed one time. It was years after they broke up. So I just assume [the music video] was a coincidence."

You can see more in the video below. As for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, it's set to be released in theaters on November 17.
