Jman and Johnny Love Movie Review: Clash of the Titans
Does Louis Leterrier have the chops to direct The Avengers? Did the 3-D conversion take away from the overall enjoyment of the film? If you watch one movie review a year this is the one you won't want to miss!

i liked yalls review, and yalls opinions. but lets face it, this movie was terrible! it didnt live up to the original at all! the original was way better and had a way better story line. all this one was, was special effects. the plot and story sucked. it didnt even follow the mythological tale in the least bit. everything about the story was just terrible and wrong. in the movie perseus was driven by anger when in actuality its supposed to be love. he and andromeda are supposed to fall in love at first site, and in this crappy rendition he ends up with Lo. wtf?! and all thru the film they make perseus out to be a little bitch who hated the gods, when that was never the case. in mythology he accepted the gods help and was the perfect demi-god that defeated every challenge by being a badass and not a little bitch who blindly swings his sword around and miraculously cuts off medusas head... louis leterrier directed this terribly. becuz of this movie he should never be able to direct another movie again. this movie had so much promise, and truly could have very well been one of the best movies ever made. but leterrier hard core screwed that up. the only good thing about the movie was the special effects, which were actually very good. other than that, this was a very shitty film. and the 3-d was just pointless and very poorly done. it was just a way for them to release the krackin on peoples bank accounts and gain an extra few bux. if leterrier screwed up a movie like this, which could have been absolutely incredible, just think of what he would do if he directed the avengers. he should not at all even be considered to direct that film. if he does direct it, it will be absolutely terrible. based on what he did with clash of the titans they sould just ban him from being a director in general.

thanks stackhouse, and I appreciate your opinion. This movie to me is along the same lines as Transformers ROTF. I didnt go into the theater expecting the next level of cinamtic storytelling. I always wondered what the effects would be like if they shot Clash today with modern tech and this was the end result. Sure there were issues with the film that they should have fixed. The problem is studios only have so much money and when they deplete all their resources for special effects or storytelling or big budget actors then another area loses out in this case I would say story telling. Ror had a good article about how much the studio interferred with the final product. Which made alot of sense. I'm sure directors have the 'Get along to stay along' attitude as they should and the ones who have big balls and tell the studios WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO are the ones that are unemployed. Just like in the private sector, you dont listen to the powers that be then sooner or later you dont have a job. It is what it is and if people dont take films for what they are instead of what they want it to be then they will always be pissed(not just about movies, life in general). Dont take me wrong, I enjoy a solid movie just like the next guy but I also am aware of a eye candy movie when I see it.
