Yesterday, we got word that a brand-new teaser for Avengers: Doomsday will debut later tonight during game one of the World Series. The game, between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers, gets underway at 8 PM Eastern time, but we're not sure exactly when the sneak peek will screen.

We may know what this special look will entail, however.

Possible spoilers follow.

MLB host Kait Maniscalco has revealed that she was on set during the filming of "an iconic baseball scene," which would appear to confirm some previously leaked details.

Apparently, the original post-credits scene for The Fantastic Four: First Steps was going to show Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, and Johnny Storm at a baseball game right before Doctor Doom shows up at the Baxter Building to warn the team about the oncoming incursion (putting a far less sinister spin on the scene with Sue finding Victor speaking to baby Franklin).

"Then they find a long-haired, bearded Steve Rogers, who's been living in their universe with Peggy and James for over a decade."

It's worth clarifying that this is only a rumored breakdown, but Maniscalco's comments definitely give it more credence. Even if these details are accurate, we don't know for certain that this is the scene that will be released tonight, but we'd be very surprised if Marvel and the MLB didn't take advantage of the baseball connection.

Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars were hit with significant delays last year, with Doomsday now set to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars positioned for December 17, 2027.

Both movies will be directed by the Russo brothers, who also make their MCU return after helming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

"Universes collide and the Multiverse Saga begins its final chapter in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. Beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and ultimately face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. This epic film will lay the foundation for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

Doomsday will star:

Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Florence Pugh as Yelena, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, James Marsden as Cyclops, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent

Along with Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and, of course, Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

I could see this new look at Doomsday being the rumored scene mentioned above given the baseball connection which I’m sure they would like to capitalize on tbh.

Anyway , I really hope this film turns out well especially given the strong year Marvel Studios has had thus far!!.

P.S:Sorry for the outdated graphic since YFNSM S2 got moved to Jan 2027 and VisionQuest obviously got a release date.
